RECAP
"Wow, the school slut just got some", Trisha said, which caused Blake to tell her to shut up. Wow, now he has started to care, lovely.
I just wanted to get out of there. I didn't even give Blake or Trisha, or anyone for that matter, a second glance and ran out of there. I didn't know where to go. Alex was my ride and I sure as hell wasn't going to be within a ten mile radius with him, I didn't know what to do. It was just like I was...lost?
I figured, sitting on the front porch was the best idea right now. I sat down there, when suddenly I heard the floorboards creaking.
It was Blake.
END OF RECAP
I looked around to see Blake, looking totally exhausted, hands in his pocket, but still with a spark of concern in his eyes. I quietly turn my head around, and go back to what I was doing before - nothing.
"Stells", he said, his voice raspy. I didn't say anything, and it was quiet. Silence. Blake came ahead and sat right next to me. You could hear a loud song playing from inside the house, but except that, nothing. We were in silence for at least five whole minutes before a drunk Trisha made her way out of the house.
"Babe", she said, looking at Blake, "Come on, its no use sitting out like this is in the cold, especially with her", she said, shooting me a disgusted look.
"Trisha go back inside", Blake said sternly.
"But babe -",
"Shut up and go back in Trisha!", he yelled at her, making her shudder. She understood enough to turn around and go back in, but not before muttering, "Loser" to Blake.
After she went in, I realized that I really should let Blake go in with Trisha. As much as I hated her, I knew that I was about to ruin a relationship, as intense as that sounds.
"I really think you should go inside with Trisha", I quietly said to Blake, without turning towards him.
"And I really think that you must be feeling cold, so you should wear my hoodie", he said while removing his dark green hoodie from him.
He was still wearing a red t-shirt underneath it.
"No Blake it's oka-", before I could complete my sentence, Blake removed the coat off of me, and I was left in only my lingerie. Only my lingerie!
Before I could put the coat back on, Blake tossed me the hoodie and I slid it over my head. His hoodie reached a few inches above my knees, so that was okay.
"Stella, you can talk to me, you can trust me. I know that you want to get everything off of your chest, go ahead and talk", Blake said to me, putting his arm over my shoulder. I leaned into him and just closed my eyes for a few seconds.
"Blake, do you ever trust a person so much, that it's almost shocking when they do something you didn't expect them to do? And it's even more shocking when this trust is built in such a short period of time. You're blinded by all the good things they do for you, that you can't see the obvious."
The only response I got from Blake was a shoulder rub.
"Do you know what it feels like when you trust, almost love a person, but it hits you so hard when the feelings aren't mutual? Do you know that feeling?", I asked Blake.
"Trust me, Stella, I know"
