Flashness the Secret Emerges

Chapter 12

It was around 7 at night, and we all finally gathered into the car. There is five of us Dani, Em, Kim, and Ava. We went to our place it took us maybe 15, 20 minutes to get to. There we got to our hide out it was a bunch of trees and it took us five minutes to walk to an opening and it was a huge grass with some flowers just for us.

There was a huge tree house for Kim, a climbing tree for me. Dani has claimed a spot of the field that no one can touch. And Em just looks at the flowers and joins Kim in the tree house. We have a few other friends that have stuff here but they couldn't make it. Anyway, for them Grace has a corner for her fencing. Macy has a spot near Grace's to practice her Aikido. Taylor has a spot for little friends called animals cause she loves her animals. And Lillie just climbs trees and reads or just does nothing.

Any who, it was the four of us and we just hang out here to get away. We don't really like going here alone because then it wouldn't be that great. No one knows about my powers except for James, Jason, and Mason. I don't want to tell my friends cause I don't want to get them in danger but Thamuz also knows since he does spy on us at school and saw us just before we left. But I guess that's how it goes, I guess. I was already in my tree while thinking to myself. While Kim and Em are in her tree house and Dani joined them. They were on the balcony while I was in my tree. The tree that I was in is taller than the tree house one so I over looked them while they were talking. I was still talking with them I was hearing distance to hear the conversation. I started to space off.

"Hey! How's James?" Dani asked down below giving me wiggly eyes. I looked at her weird while blushed a little. I jumped down so I can sit with them.

"Everything's fine normal boyfriend girlfriend things."

"Oh really? Nothing else?" Kim raised an eyebrow. "Not even a little game of firetruck?" She smirked.

"What!" I went wide eyed. "No!"

"Ok ok whatever you say."

"Anyway, how's Barry?" I turned to Ava. Then turned to Kim. "How's Jim?" Giving them both a grin.

"Nothing!" They said in unison.

"Sure sure." I said. Em and Dani laughed a little. Ava was blushing like a strawberry. Ha ha get it strawBERRY. HA. Okay never mind. Kim wasn't even fazed she doesn't blush easily.

We talked for another two or three hours and hanged out we had the usual Apple Snapple with Funyuns and chewy jolly ranchers. It's a tradition. We decided to leave cause it was getting late and we didn't want to sleep here. So we got back into the car and drove off.

After about 5 minutes driving to get back home we saw a small explosion to our left. I was in the passenger seat in front, I told Dani to drive fast and turn right up there.

"What was that?" Em said.

"I don't know," Kim said.

"Wait wait, what if it's one of Kim's stories that she write that we still have to figure out how to use them!" Ava said.

"I doubt that...it's probably a malfunction or som-," I was cut off by an explosion that was closer to us than the first and we all ducted down. "Drive faster!"

We were on a back road so we could drive fast, but I think anyone one would try to drive fast.

Next there was an explosion severely close. Dani got spooked and took a sharp turn almost making us flip over, but we didn't.
