Chapter 22- I am Going To See Katniss

Peeta's POV

The plane starts moving and we are up in the air. There is only one thing on my mind.

I am going to see Katniss soon.

Katniss's POV

I have now been living in the woods for two weeks.

I have 28 cuts in total all over my arms, legs and stomach.

I am as thin as a toothpick. This is the thinnest I have ever been in my entire life not including the bread thing with Peeta. I am sitting on a tree branch and it is outing outside and I am soaked. I am so wet that my shirt is sticking to me and you can found my rib cages through the shirt.

Prim keeps texting me but I just ignore her. I know I told her that we would talk but once I told her that I was living in the woods and is by go back to Peeta she would not shut up about it.

*A few hours later*

Peeta's POV

The plane is landing. I am like 10 minutes away until I see Katniss. So close. I am like a child on sugar.

"Peeta calm down." Finnick tells me again for the 7th time in the past hour.

"Sorry I am just excited." I mumble.

He just chuckles. "Yeah it is so NOT obvious!" He jokes.

The plane lands and I yell at the group to unbuckle as fast as they can and get off the plane. They do as I tell them because they know that I am excited to see Katniss.

We run out of the plane and we wait outside for a cab and after about 5 minutes of waiting we find one. I texted Prim yesterday to find out where she was and she gave me the address. I told the driver where to go and about 10 minutes later we pulled up I. Front of the house. I pay the driver and we all get out.

I run out of the car to the door and knock on it. The door flies open and I see Prim. She tackles me with a hug.

I hug her back right away.

I feel my shirt getting wet and I look down at Prim's face.

She is full on sobbing. Her face is covered in tears. I immediately real ewe from the hug and crouch down to her height.

"Why are you crying?" I ask softly.

"It-it is K-Kat- Katniss!" She gets out and bursts into sobs again. This worries me.

"Prim! What happened is she ok?" I ask worried.

She takes a deep breath to. Calm herself.

"P-Peeta Katniss is living in the woods with nothing. No food, no shelter no nothing. I try texting her but she does not listen. She never responds."

The group and I gasp in shock. This cannot be happening.

"Prim my do you know what woods she is in?" I ask.

She points. I remember the woods. Katniss and I would always play in the woods. Whenever Clay would come we would play together. I need to find her.

"She has to be in this woods. She is probably on a tree. I tried looking for her but I am not aloud to leave the house." She says sadly.

"Prim we are going to go get her, okay? We will be back soon." I say softly and quietly while rubbing her back like I would do with Katniss.

Prim nods.

I stand up and motion for the group to follow and they do.

"Okay guys follow me because I have been here and I know this place very well. Clay does too." I add in and everyone nods while Clay and I lead the group into the woods.

"K-Katniss?! Are you h-here?" I hear Annie yell and she stars crying.

Finnick runs up to her and hugs her.

"I miss her. We need to find her guys." Annie tells us while sobbing into Finnick's shirt.

"I agree. We are all a broken mess without Katniss." Clay admits.

"Yeah I miss her." Adds Marvel.

"Same here." Says Finnick.

"Me too. She is my favorite cousin." Clay says sadly.

"Guys I am so sorry. This is all my fault. If she could have stayed in the house she would have stayed." Clove bursts into tears.

Cato goes right to her side and hugs her.

"She would have left anyone Clove. She would have for Prim." Cato tells her trying to calm her down.

"I agree with Cato. She would have left anyway because it is Prim." Glimmer adds agreeing.

"Same here guys. But can we keep looking? We need t find her before dark because she does not need to spend another day out here in the woods." I finally say.

The group nods and we start looking for her again calling out her name.

Katniss's POV

"Katniss?!" I hear my name being called very faintly and my head snaps up. The person says it again and I know the voice.

It is Peeta!

He is here trying to find me! No, no, no! This CANNOT be happening! I stay still hoping that they go farther away. But boy was I wrong his voice is getting closer and closer every second. I am not covered by andy trees or something so I am very easy to see.

His voice is coming closer with other voices shouting my name. I process the voices and they belong to everyone in the group. They came here looking for me. Me.

Once they see me they will like literally explode by how I look and how thin I am.

I am snapped out of my thoughts when someone shouts my name. I freeze.

"KATNISS! I FOUND HER GUYS!" I hear the voice say that belongs to Peeta.

I look down and he is looking up at me. Our eyes are locked on each others. I look at his face and they are soaked in tears. I guess he really did miss me. Then I unlock eyes with him when I see the rest of the group. I look at all of them and they look like a emotional wreck. They all are crying. This kills my heart.
