Chapter 2

Me and jake quickly pulled away from each other and stood up well jake did I just crawled to the dogwood and pulled out a guitar and plucked a few strings as I asked "what are you doing here danny spying on me or acting like what you should be able too if you had stuck around when I was younger danny but right now you don't have the right to be mad at me or jake be mad at the horses the made us tripp and I kissed him danny and if you're going to yell it won't change a thing" the words came out before I could stop them and danny looked hurt and angry "next time you and jake want some privacy make sure i'm told so I can get out of the way" he stormed out of the clearing before i could say anything I looked at jake and I took off after danny "danny wait I didn't meant what i said danny!" he ignored me and started to ride away. Before I could whistle for ace I was grabbed from behind and strong arms were wrapped around me and I felt a gun barrel pressed into the side of my head "Danny come get your little girl!' the voice was familiar then I realized it was the valentine who had his arms wrapped around me I did the first thing that came into my mind it was too scream. when I did danny turned and shouted something I could not hear because valentine had butted me on the head with the gun the world had went dark by the time I hit the ground I heard shots being fired and a yell then a thunder of hooves then nothing.

I woke up too find danny and jake leaning over me with concern looks on there faces I ignored them and rubbed my eyes "what happened?" danny was the one who answered "we tied up Valentine and now we are waiting for sheriff". My uncle once told me that my father had called him sheriff ever since they were little growing up with my mother (my father's mother knew my mother's mom they were friends when my father's mom was alive). "that's what my father use to call my uncle that's why he became a cop to honor my father that and because well you should know Danny since he is your brother in law" I had caught sight of my uncle coming and I had said that loud enough to where he could hear. I smiled and waved at my uncle and that made danny and jake look behind them as my uncle came closer enough to read his expression he was shocked and surprised i knew that I was going to pay for what i did but it was worth it too see my uncle for once surprised he stuttered "your..r Wyatt and you never told anyone" he looked at danny then too me and he said "holy cow that's the first time i never solved anything" that made me laugh until i saw something in Danny's eyes he was mad. Danny turned and looked at me I quickly got up and ran to ace and jumped on to his back and road like the devil was behind me.

I road till I was at my parent's barn it was empty when I entered the horses had been turned out to the field. I threw myself down on a hay bale and cried for I had done nothing right this past month no matter how I tried to do the right thing. I heard the barn door swing open then feet moving towards me. I looked up it was danny and before he could say anything I ran past him and grabbed ace and I ignored danny calling my name I just rode past jake and my uncle. I felt aces muscles move through my leggings it calmed me too feel free even though I could slip any time off aces bare back and I would not be able to grab anything since his halter was back at the barn with his saddle and blanket but i didn't care I was going to a place where I could forget my worries and not get fussed at. The garage was filled with the smell of oil and other car smells also with the smell of liquor (my best friend father was a drunk) I saw feet sticking out from under a car and I went to the opposite after I found a pair of my shoes I left in my car and put them on. When my wedge clod foot was in front of my friends face which was still under the car a low whistle came out from under and then "how may I help you miss..." his words died as he pushed himself out from under the car and saw me. He pulled himself out the other end of the car jumped up and went to hug me as he unzipped his jumpsuit and when he did hug me he asked 'Where you been lil i've missed you around here I didn't have a poker buddy for a week" he did a pouty face but his eyes were filled with humor so I just acted insulted "hmph I have been very busy trying not to get killed and kidnapped by Valentine and his men and I was in the hospital for some of those days and in bed sick so don't you act like you have had the bad end" I was smiling at him his face was a mixture of awe, protectiveness, and hatred "what did old dick head want now" "the same oh and if a man about yay high and brown hair looks like one of my uncles but tanner and brown eyes with a dark hair teen come with two of my horses lie and tell them you have not seen me or that i'm not here".

I looked through a peephole in the wall of the building and I saw danny and jake walking up with two of my horses heading this way it was a good thing i sent ace away otherwise that would have gave away my hiding place my friend looked confused until I told him to act like he was about to leave the shop then I pointed to the garage door and told him to go open it like something died and when he did danny knocked on the door and my friend Bobby opened it "may i help you?" "yes i'm looking for my niece she ran away from home and i just want to know if she's okay here is a picture of her" Bobby looked at the picture "nope have not seen her around lately but then again I never seen you around either sir so I know you're lying in less you're a cop you can't come here anymore" I heard jake's low voice "look here boy there's people after her and we are trying to protect her from them and I know she's in there because ace has not left" as if that was a que Ace trotted into the garage and came to where I stood out of sight until jake pushed past Bobby when ace nickered "bad boy ace you don't ever give away my hiding spot when I don't want to be found and no sugar cubes for you" he snorted and walked out when jake spotted me and danny when he walked in he smiled when I shot a glare at my horse "he is easily portrayed to do what you want as long as you have sugar cubes" I shot a glare at him and then at jake when he moved closer.

I ignored jake and danny as I talked to bobby about a plan I had and what I'll need to do it "can you gather the gang together and tell them to meet at the hideout and give them each an assignment too do you know which ones can handle certain things without doing anything stupid and spread the word I'm back too BoBo or who ever took charge of the territory and make sure you get everyone including my family we need to talk because I am tired of being afraid of what's around the next corner thinking there's a man with a gun to someone's head because of me not knowing who I am dealing with bobby go now you know what to do oh and the meeting not until sunset next saturday of next week this way people have more time to come and get ready and too where we have more time to set it up also". After he left too send word to everyone I turned to Danny and Jake they seemed surprised that I was smiling but then looked a little panicked about what I was about to say "does anyone want to go for a ride?" they looked confused until I pointed to the covered car "ohh you want us to go in a car that's probably ....." Jake didn't get too finish that sentence because I pulled the cover off of the car and under it was a silver shelby mustang which looked brand new. "I call shotgun" jake said as headed to the Passenger door "no you not going to be riding jake you are going to ride that big black horse of mine too the house and we are going to have a race with me and danny my car" he looked disappointed about that and danny laughed at jakes face I did to. I grabbed the car keys and tossed them into the air until i got into the driver's seat of the car. Me and danny pulled up beside ace and jake and we waited till the light turned green and then we were off I slowed to match aces stride.

We passed several houses and each time our group got bigger people on horses, bikes, cars, mopeds, motorcycles, trucks, tractors, and carriages each person and everyone had a jacket or something with a crescent moon symbol and a sword and gun across it and everyone had a silver band around their arms I gave jake and danny jackets with the symbol on the back and then the bands and I put my silver leather jacket on and my band and my hat this let everyone there was going to be a fight. I told danny to take the wheel as i started to climb out the window and I jumped too and eighteen wheeler that pulled up beside the car and there was two guys hanging on too the back of the trailer with guns strapped to the backs and they were wearing military gear thanks too one of my uncles we were equipped. When one of the men was close too me I jumped and he caught me we were both cursing under our breath well me he was saying it loud and clear but I ignored him and unlatched the door and climbed in and was greeted by my dapple gray horse moonshine. I saddled him up and geared up in a thin but padded shirt and pants which was bullet proof and could not be cut by knives and also protects my body from bad blows when i fight and I covered my face with a mask my grandpa had made before he had to sell his blacksmith shop it was a silver mask with beautiful designs and my hair was in a braid down my back and gloves covered my hands that were like my pants and shirt my shoes were out of the same silver fabric but the heels were silver metal and they held knives. I strapped my mother's silver pistols too my sides and my rifle too my back and another in the holster and then I masked moonshine with a similar mask as me and I gave the signal for the two guys to open the door fully and grabbed the reigns and sent moonshine running as I grabbed my bows and arrows.
