The Christmas Eve Secret

Chapter 4

The next morning I woke too my gram yelling "get up it's time to get ready for school don't make me came up with the ice buckets and you know I will" a second later there was pitter patter of my cousins feet moving around trying too get ready for school. I got up and pulled on a strapless dress that I haven't worn yet it was a light grey top with a dark blue skirt and a black belt. I pulled on a pair of leggings and my favorite pair of black high heeled boots that was a little past my ankles. When I came downstairs after putting on makeup and jewelry I went to the cupboard in my room and began strapping on my weapons and then slid down the fire pole I had in my room in case of emergencies. When I landed I scared my little cousins and they giggled and one said "you scared us lily" I laughed and grab my book bag off a hook and stuffed some of my art supplies into the bag and then went into the kitchen. I was greeted by the smell of chocolate and by my family and the dogs I laughed when they tackled me and so did everyone else. When we went outside after we ate dad brought out a shelby mustang that was firetruck red and it looked awesome and sounded awesome. when I got on my bike after suiting up dad pulled up beside me and said "i'm going to be searching for a job at the school and i'm going to use my real name so if they call you or I call you just so you know why i'm calling or they call" I nodded and smiled and rode beside him until i went into the student parking lot with my brother and jake.

When we entered the school some of the girls who gossip about everything come up to us asking a bunch of questions and acting like we were superstars and they were press we just walked on until they really started to annoy me then I just pulled out my switch blade and pointed it at them and they mumbled sorry and ducked their heads and walked away quickly when i turned around and put up my blade with a smile on my face I got glares from jackson and jake "what did you want me to get you there numbers before I scared them off or did you just want to ask them out?' jackson said "I wanted to be the one too is make them go away" Jake smiled with and an agreement "and they gossip too much I rather be with you" as my friends come up beside us "awww" when he pulls me close and kisses me and I kiss him back and there is some flashes and some whistles and hollers and "get em girl" I broke away smiling and blushing and wolfie comes beside me "that's the first time someone or something made you blush like that and makes you quiet" I just punch her in her shoulder playfully and she laughed as my brother twirled her around and then does something no boy could ever do. He kissed her and she did nothing but wrap her arms around his neck and kiss him back and then it's her turn to blush as we all laugh.

When the bell ring we head to class and our teachers pass us fliers to prom since it's almost two weeks away. When school ends I text dad too see if he got the job and he text back 'i was about to text you and yes I got the job' he then texts back "are you and your friends going dress shopping?" I text back and told him "yes do you want to come too and if you want to bring uncles and gram because they would kill me if they don't get to help me pick one out" he sends back "okay meet you at the mall with the gang". When I meet up with my friends and jackson and jake I tell them the plan and we head to the mall dragging the boys with us and while we wait for my family and theirs we buy some new clothes and get the shoes and tuxedos for the boys. When we went into the pizza place we saw our family sitting at the booth that the owner happily let the de la luna use when they are having a shopping spree for the orphans and the homeless and the elderly and special needs kids and adults in the town and in towns around us. We sat down after hugging and introductions for jackson, jake, and dad then we headed to the huge dress shop. The girls and I played model as we showed everyone the dresses that we picked out. Wolfie was the only one who did not pick one out so she let me pick her out one and she ended up getting it. The dress was a strapless sweetheart neckline it hugged her in the right places and was fitted on top and slowly begins to flare as the dress touches the ground the top had beading around her chest and the a small belt at her waist and the dress was a dark blue to match her eyes and then it slowly turns to black at the bottom. she even got black pumps that were covered in crystals and jackson secretly got her a set of jewelry that was simple but her style. I was the last one too choose since no one seemed to really like the ones i picked out and the ones my family picked out so my father asked the sales lady to help and she chose a simple lace baby blue mermaid dress with a dark blue belt that had a rhinestone moon on it. When I stepped out onto the runway at the store with a pair of bright blue crystal covered high heels and my hair up everyone was awed and dad had tears in his eyes so did everyone in my family but jackson and jake they just looked awed. I stopped in front of my father and hugged him and I began to cry "we are acting like this is my wedding instead of prom" I laughed through tears as I wiped them away and everyone laughed to.

When we got home after finishing up shopping we made sandwiches and drinks and grabbed stuff we needed for a picnic and we saddled up our horses and rode out too the hill where there was a dogwood and a willow tree growing together.We stayed on the hill until we all were tired and the kids were asleep and then we headed home. Me and jake stayed up until we fell asleep talking about prom and we both each other that we loved each other and he kissed and we vowed that if we ever break up and that we still loved each other we go back to my secret garden at midnight and we get back together and get married and raise a family and we stay on the ranch or get a ranch around the ranch and make that our home. The next morning Gram woke us up the same way she always did when we have too go too school. I wore a pair of skinny silver leather pants one of my corsets that bullet proof and silver patterns on the black fabric I usually wear when i'm in a fight or at my meetings for the gang or with old joe a farmer who lives here who is trigger happy and he tries to pin the deaths of his chickens on my dogs and a military jacket that ended at my feet and pair of laced up knee high boots and braided my hair and put on some make up and headed down. When I got in the kitchen I ugged my dad good morning and kissed the top of his head and I kissed jake on the cheek and my brother an the cheek and said good morning to everyone and fixed me a plate of waffles with some chocolate syrup and strawberries. When we headed out the door and got ready to leave I hopped onto my bike after I made sure that every single one of my weapons was not noticeable and then we headed out on our bikes and cars and trucks. When we got to school we all were tens because someone had followed us. I signaled that gang when they were in sight and they looked normal too hers but i knew that they were ready for a fight.
