Naturally, my mom, like any other mom, asked me how my day was. And like any other girl, I lied that it was fine.
"Did you make any new friends?" She asked.
I know she meant well, but in my head, I sarcastically replied no, I was with my old friends.
I calmly said "Yes."
"What are their names?" She was clearly testing my temper and I was pretty frustrated.
"Sonia and Becky." I replied, saying the name of one of Sonia's friends.
My mom said "That's good."
I turned the CD player on. I was trying to calm myself down. My mom turned it off. I sighed. She ignored it and kept driving.
Two minutes later she pulled up to the driveway. She got out and opened the door and we went inside. I still had to pick up my little brother and sister.
"You have 10 minutes until we have to go pick up Stefan and Anna." She said, looking at her phone.
I went to the bathroom. When my dad came home, he would ask the same questions. Great.
---------------------------
Of course my suspicions were correct. When my dad got home, he started firing questions at me. I answered them politely. I was prepared.
I didn't feel like writing in my diary either so I skipped that. It used to be tradition but I guess people change.
