She called out and I laughed as I kissed Lana's cheek.
"Where's Brock?" Lana asked as she most likely wanted to greet him.
"Out back doing beastly things .." I pointed behind me even though he couldn't be seen.
"I thought he only did those things to you" Paige smiled and I rolled my eyes.
"Beast is so cute very different from his dad hey?" Paige said as she poked him.
"Do not let Brock hear you say that.. He doesn't want any association with Beast. I'm a single parent" I laughed.
"Oh please I bet on the car ride here he was probably talking to Beast like a kid.."
I shook my head as we walked upstairs so they could get settled in the guest rooms.
" So do you and Rusev have a date yet?" I asked as we walked downstairs with some coffee in hand after unpacking some of their things .
"Not really but still want to find me a nice dress"
I nodded and I noticed Paige looking at the same pictures I had just yesterday and we walked beside her.
"you and Kevin look amazing.." I hit her with my side but she only smiled a bit.
"What's wrong?" I frowned as I wasn't used to seeing that from my best friend and the look on Lana's face made me feel like I had said something wrong.
"Erm..." She ran her fingers through her hair and turned to me.
"Kevin and I broke up..." she glanced at the picture again.
"Paige stop messing with me!" I rolled my eyes.
"We broke up McKenzie.." she repeated and I realized that she was serious.
"I have been gone for what two weeks and you guys have broken up after you were so happy.." I frowned as I set my cup down.
She sighed, "I just needed a break that's all"
She moved away from the pictures and sat down on the couch.
"A break? but you and Kevin are amazing . I mean I figured you'd be accepting his proposal anytime soon and..."
I could sense she was becoming annoyed with me but I didn't understand what could have changed in those weeks.
"McKenzie we broke up, people break up.." she rolled her eyes.
I heard Lana's phone go off and she mouthed that it was her fiance and went upstairs. I was pretty sure it had just been a text but she wanted to avoid the drama that I had never had with Paige before .
