I paced up and down outside the door . I knew she was there because I had watched Raw back at the hotel, she had won a Fatal Four Way with her title on the line.
She delivered a Suplex before pinning one of the divas and...
"Brock" I stopped pacing as I heard the voice but not the one that I was expecting.
"What are you doing knocking? Come in!" I walked into the apartment and heard her mom close the door.
I gave her a brief nod and glanced around the apartment waiting for McKenzie to come out of the bedroom or something.
She simply smiled, no one expected more than a simple nod of acknowledgement from me.
I didn't hug people, I didn't greet unless it was Paul and maybe Kevin would get a bit more but that took awhile. I was sure Kevin only grew on me because of the fact that he received a blue eye from Eric while trying to defend McKenzie and the fact that he punched John in defense of me.

"McKenzie hasn't come home yet. She went to get some groceries so that she could make dinner." Her mom eyed me a bit.
"Yes that's right" I nodded as I took a seat on the stool.
I wasn't sure why she was here but I guess a part of me was happy that she wasn't alone and that she was giving her mother a chance without me having to force her.
I wasn't sure why I flew out here, Seth had told me I needed to give her more time but I couldn't it hadn't even been two weeks yet but I didn't care. I needed to just see her, to see her face to know she was okay. Honestly if anyone would ever go through the Beast's thoughts they would realize how weak I was when it came to the woman I loved. But then again someone came close and that was Hunter, partially the reason I couldn't be with Kenzie..
"Do you..." She was cut off as the door opened.
"They didn't have that .." I heard McKenzie as her back was turned as she closed the door.
She froze as she turned and saw me but then glanced at her mom and moved to the counter and set the bag down.

"Hey..." She wrapped her arms around me and apart of me knew then she hadn't told her mom but also wrapped my arms around her, needing to hold her close.
"I'm going to give Seth a call. I trust you to make sure my daughter doesn't burn the place down" I heard her before she left into the room.
McKenzie's hair was shorter and lighter. She always seemed to go for a change whenever we went our separate ways. The last time I left her I was surprised when she was interviewed to learn that her long locks were gone. I still couldn't decide which I liked more.
