I had been at the house for the past week while Brock had remained at Steve's house despite me protesting. He wanted me to clear my head, those were his words. Instead of asking me yet again what had been bothering me so I had been with Beast here the entire time. He dropped by once a day just to check up but of course things couldn't be normal until we decided to be honest with each other. I couldn't bring myself to mention it to him.

How was I going to tell him the family we wanted so badly was not going to happen for us or for me; if he decided to leave me which I doubted but I honestly couldn't know..

I stumbled up to the kitchen to feed Beast and my heart sank as I saw Brock had left a note letting me know he wouldn't be dropping by today. I had a live event tonight as Dean had let me know figuring I had taken the week off to just be a wife to my Beast. I would have loved to just spend the day with Brock before I flew out early tomorrow morning with the rest of the superstars but I was making it hard for both of us.

Being together was amazing but the fact that we weren't together was in the air. I felt guilty because if I forgave him and then we were together I would still have to try and tell him something that could very well lead to him leaving me regardless of his love for me.

I heard a knock on the door and immediately ran down with a smile but had to remind myself that it wasn't my husband as he wouldn't be knocking, instead I was greeted by my demonic brother.

"Kane" I smiled as I immediately hugged him, "what are you..."

"Great! Just leave me to close the car how kind of you Demon!" I heard Paige and frowned.

"Why do you look so surprised Brock said you wanted us to come over ?" She frowned as she walked in while Kane's arms left me and he closed the door.

"Oh yeah I just didn't realize you guys were coming now" I smiled trying to get rid of my surprise. It seemed my Beast was using my tactics with inviting my friends over for a distraction.

"Well we were thinking of heading to this zoo type thing in town that we saw on our drive here so get out of Brock's clothes and let's go" Paige smiled while I saw Kane move up the kitchen with Beast to get some food I guessed.

I of course practically lived in Brock's clothes when I was home alone whether it be at my apartment or home. It had become so normal that Paige who had barged into my apartment so many times didn't seem bothered while Kane just found it amusing.

"You okay? I didn't know you had the week off until I pitched up at your hotel room door the other night to find the place empty"

"Yeah Kane surprised me!" I called out before stepping into the shower.

"I wish he'd surprise me more!" I walked out of the bathroom finding her sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Do you need a break?" She laughed and shook her head.

"Definitely not. A break would mean my mom coming down or me going to her and after the last time I saw her she wasn't too happy about another relationship that seemed to be heading in a good place was moving down to the gutters"
