"You've been talking to someone on the phone a lot for the past month." My mom said as I sat in the passenger seat on the way to my monthly check up.

She's right Amber and I text or call every possible minute. ( and yes there's I love you's for all of you who care.)

"I guess." I shrugged looking out the window.

"Is it a she."

"Yes."

"Can I at least have a name?" Damn can't she see I don't want to talk about this with her.

"Amber."

I could hear the sound of a gasp escape her lips. "As in?"

"Yes mom that Amber."

"Well how come you haven't brought her over she was such a sweet girl." Yes my mom was in love with her.

"Cause she lives in Texas now." I stated bluntly.

"Aw, I'm sorry sweetie."

Thankfully the car was parked into the hospital parking lot so I quickly got out and walked towards the doors my moms heels clacking behind me.

"We've got the blood test back, and the picture of your lungs." The doctor walked into the hospital room after an hour and a half of pokes from needles and a few sticky band aids.

"Yes?" My mom was in her toes as if he was about to tell her, her future.

"Have you been taking your medicine Jackson?" The doctor asked.

"Of course he-"

"No" I interrupted her and my mom made me the bug eyes.

"Well that's astonishing." Dr. Brown flipped through his clipboard papers.

"What is?!" My mom hated it when doctors did this.

"Your lungs are 45% less cancer than they were a month ago. If you're not taking this a medicine then this is just insane." The doctor was having issues trying to find the right words.

"Your joking." My mom stated. It wasn't even a question.

"I am not." He handed her the clipboard and I sat there dumb founded.

While she flipped through the papers the doctor continued explaining. "If it keeps up at the rate it's going you'll only need this for another month and a half" he gestured to my oxygen tank.

Handing back the clipboard my mom had a childish grin plastered on her face. "Do you hear that Jackson?"

"Yeah."

"I'm going to dismiss you guys. Please make an appointment for a month and a half from now."

My mom nodded and we did as told.

My beautiful people.

Hey hey hey. I like this chapter. Why? Because I came up with a better title during this chapter and I like it a lot. Comment what you think. (For you people who haven't read this book with the original title it was named Too Deep in Lies.)

Wait a second... JACKSON'S HEALING?! Without medicine?! What?! I know what but you don't. *cue evil laugh*

Just kidding I love you guys.

If you see someone without a smile give them one of yours 😇😙
