(Y/N), petty thief.
A low sigh escaped my lips as I placed my arms against my chest in attempts to stay warm. Raindrops cascaded down my face as I wiped my sleeve against my lips. I'm almost there... thunder struck in the distance, a few miles away from the castle.
"Move scum!"
"Out of the way peasants!"
"Make way for your future King!"
My eyes wandered to the large golden bars, essentially a balcony for the King to speak to the poor and less fortunate.
"Two thieves are among you! I won't stop until my ruby is returned!"
The Prince, from what I could see, wore a large red and gold crown decorated with jewels of unimaginable prices, he also wore a black cape - shielding his shoulders from the rain. Thunder struck again.
"A boosted reward of five thousand gold is being offered to anyone who can provide information."
Prince Levi's announcement caused the townspeople to instantly begin shouting, claiming they knew the red ruby's location.
"Anyone found lying... will be put to death for treason of the King."
The poor instantly went silent. I sensed if I moved or began to leave I would be stopped by the Prince.
"Now leave! Conditions and houses are currently being rebuilt, if you have nowhere to go, stand underneath the bars of the castle, they'll provide shelter."
Seems he's not completely evil... the townspeople began to move and head towards shelter - much like a heard of sheep. I blended in as best I could. Prince Levi could be seen watching from above.
I stood underneath a nearby stable, selling horses and bread rolls. The Prince did not move and stood looking down upon the people of his Kingdom.
"Oh, a woman? Come'here sweetheart."
A group of men, dressed poorly and clearly drunk began to approach me. Oh no... Prince Levi's attention immediately fell upon me. Oh shit! These assholes are gunna blow my cover!
Adrenaline instantly flooded my body as I pulled down my hood, revealing my face for the men to see, a low whistle sounded from the assumed ring leader. The future Kings's watching! I have no choice but to act innocent. I began to walk away as the Prince's gaze watched the scene unfold.
"Don't ignore someone when they're talking."
The man suddenly grabbed my wrist and forced me to face him.
"Especially me."
I felt my tempter rise. You'd be dead if I didn't have an audience.
"Please..."
I almost laughed at my response as the man withdrew a muddy, blood tinted blade. Maybe this is a regular thing for him? I mirrored his brash actions as we began to stare.
