"Open up, Aria. Come save your husband," he shouted.
"Leave us alone, Moss. Or should I say Michael?" I answered, still searching for my phone.

There was silence then a bang on the door which made me jump. Moss was losing it outside.

"Michael died a long time ago," he yelled.

Fucking demented asshole.

"Did he die before or after he killed those pregnant women?" I yelled back.

"Shut the fuck up and let me in you whore! You don't know me!" he answered, rattling the door handle.

Finally, I found my cellphone. I unlocked it then forwarded the picture of Syl as well as all the pictures I sent to Syl's phone earlier to Chelsea and Syl's parents, informing them to get the cops over here because Moss was going to kill us. Unfortunately, the email was taking forever to send. I had to buy time and keep Moss occupied.

"Okay, Moss. I'm sorry. I really am but you don't wanna do this," I said in a soft tone while searching for clothes with the flashlight on my phone.

"Yes. Yes, I actually do want to kill you both. Especially you and that baby," he chuckled.

The baby squirmed inside and I felt extremely sick. I grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt and put them on quickly then started searching Syl's drawers again for the gun.
Moss became really impatient and started kicking the door. I started to panic because Moss would be in here any minute now from the sounds of the door rattling each time he kicked it.

I felt the cold steel in Syl's underwear drawer and grabbed it. Suddenly, I heard the door swing open and slam on the wall. I turned the flashlight in that direction and there he was. His clothes sprinkled and stained with my husband's blood. I squeezed the trigger over and over and nothing happened. He chuckled and shook his head.

"Guess who has the bullets," he asked, dipping his hands in his pockets and dropping bullets on the floor.

Fuck.

I attempted to jump over the bed and run out the room but he grabbed my foot causing me to trip. I fell off the bed, landing on the comforter while the phone fell on the floor. I used my free leg and kicked him in the face a couple times but he manage to bear it to my surprise. He tried to grab my free leg so I kicked him where I know would hurt; his balls. Moss shouted in pain and released me. I slid off the bed, grabbing the phone and headed out the room. I ran downstairs to the basement to get Syl out of here.

I tried opening the basement door but it was locked. I started banging on the door, shouting Syl's name.
"Aria baby, get out of here now!" I heard him shout back. "He's going to kill you!"

I could hear Moss' heavy shoes coming downstairs. I checked my phone and the pictures had failed to send.

What the fuck?!

His footsteps were getting closer so I ran to Claire's bedroom, locking the door. The footsteps drew closer and closer and with each step, my heart pounded.
Suddenly my phone started ringing out loud. It was Chelsea so I answered quickly.

"Hey how are you? Claire is talking to the cops," she asked said.

"Chelsea! Get the police here now!" I whispered into the phone. "Moss is trying to kill me! He's got Syl tied up in the basement."

"Fuck! Stay on the phone with me. I'm gonna tell them now," she answered in a panic.

I paced the floors, hoping to hear the sirens in seconds but nothing happened. Moss knocked on the door.

"Let me in, Aria," he sing-songed, rattling the doorknob.

"Go away! The cops are coming for your ass, Moss!" I yelled.

He stopped rattling the doorknob then I could hear him walk away. I stood there for what felt like hours.

Where did he go?

I walked towards the door and put my ear on it. I listened keenly but heard nothing. I unlocked the door and prayed to God that this crazy man would not be out there when I come out. I shone the flashlight up and down the hallway but there was no one in sight.
However, the basement door was wide open.

I tiptoed towards it. The thought of Moss going down there to hurt Syl crossed my mind but I pushed it aside. I shined the light down there but I couldn't see much.
"Syl.. are you okay?" I asked, trying not to be too loud.

"Aria, you have to get out of here. Please. He's gonna hurt you," he sobbed.

I tiptoed down the stairs but as soon as I got to the third step, I felt someone push me, causing me to soar down the flight of stairs. I fell flat on my stomach. I could hear Moss coming down the steps and Syl shouting my name. I tried to crawl but I was in excruciating pain. I felt liquid running down my legs but I couldn't tell if my water broke or if it was blood.

I felt Moss grab my hair and lifted me to my feet. I howled in pain. I tried to stand up but my knees were still weak from that fall. Moss flung me on the wall but I lost my balance and fell again.
The power chipped on and the light from the basement burned my eyes. I squinted, allowing my pupils to slowly get used to the bright light.
I could see blood everywhere.

Coming from me.

I screamed, "My baby!"

Crying hysterically, I held my belly hoping she would squirm but she didn't.

"Get away from her you sick fucking son of a bitch!" Syl yelled, trying to wriggle his hands out of the rope.

Moss chuckled, walking slowly towards Syl. I grabbed onto the table that was beside me and struggled to get on my feet.

"Sylvester.. buddy. She deserves to die," Moss said in a cool tone.

"And you deserve to rot in hell!" Syl yelled then spat on him.

Moss kicked the chair away causing Syl to slip and dangle from the ceiling. The rope around his neck cutting off his air supply.

"Syl!" I cried, as his body swung before me.
