Everyone stood in the positions they had been giving to watch over. Patch took off his shirt and tossed it over on the ground. Before he turned back around to meet Brown, his eyes scanned the area for any unwanted guest. Everyone seemed to be in his or her own zones away from the challenge. Nodding to Tommy, Patch mentally prepared himself for the fight.

‘Don’t hold back, son.’ His father’s words rung in his mind. ‘I won’t, dad. His ass is mine.’

With a nod to Brown, they began to get in position. Patch remained standing as Brown lowered himself into a tackling position. Breathing out one last deep breath, Brown’s left foot shifted. As if it was playing out in his mind, Patch knew what he was about to do. Brown leapt up in the air with a swinging fist coming towards the side of him. Stepping out of the way, Patch threw out his hands. Stopping the action from playing to its full potential as his hands connected with Brown’s side. Groaning under the hit, Brown rolled on the ground then up to a standing position again.

Patch shifted his feet on the ground, strengthening his stature. His eyes stayed on Brown when he began to circle him. Patch will not allow someone to make him circle. His fighting technique was the same as it always had been. Make them come to you; you remain firm on the ground. Brown was trying to figure him out by the look upon his face. His eyes would narrowed then roam his body. Patch stayed the same, emotionless self he is.

Mark shifted his body towards Kathy as they stood by watching the back of the four men that surrounded the challenge. A voice sounded behind them, Trent warned Mark about taking other step. If he breathes any type of air in her direction, he would no longer be standing. Kathy looked behind her and smiled. Her gut told her that Trent was not as bad as his brother or cousin, yet, she still needed to watch what went on with him.

Taking a few steps away from him, she called out ‘Stars will be up’. Richard turned around and glared at Mark. The man knew then that Kathy had given a code word towards him. Richard pointed his finger for him to step more away from his wife. Mark obeyed, took several steps away from Kathy. Nodding his head, he turned towards the challenge again. Laughter came from those watching her back.

Brown swung his fist and followed through with a round kick, striking Patch in the side. Patch went down to the ground, Brown followed through with a pouch to the face. His face snapped towards the side.  Using the force of his face snapping towards the right, Patch flipped himself up on one hand, following through with a sidekick into Brown’s body. Brown hit the ground with a thud. Quickly, he followed through with a fist into the chest knocking the wind out of Brown.

Taking advantage of the older man being down, Patch sent several thrust into pressure point. Patch backed off; there was something wrong about the mass of Brown’s body. Studying the man on the ground, Patch noticed the burn mark into the man’s skin. By the symbol that was burned into his skin. He was a lower ranking member. Just low enough, he would reap benefits of killing off the person who sent the Earth Clan packing.

            “Patch!” Richard yelled, “Finish him!”

Silently Patch went down only to find Brown flipping his body up. Cracking Patch in the chest, Patch went flying through the air landing on the ground. Groaning he held his chest. The wind knocked out of him for a moment. Blocking the on-coming kick from Brown’s foot. Rolling in the dirt, Patch had to think quickly. Brown’s kicks came with speed and force. Sending dirt clouds up into the air as he rolled himself out of the way.

A kick landed against Patch’s ribs, grunting, Patch felt the blow push in his rib cage. The on lookers saw the pain flash over his face for a brief second. Catching his leg, Patch delivered three hard jabs to the shin. Brown yelled out in pain. Ticked off, Brown threw down a fist into his neck. Patch felt his neck bend with the fist. Letting go of his leg, Patch rolled to get away from Brown.
