Another scream ripped through the air as the scientist injected another person with the mysterious liquid. It was Zayne’s turn next and when they were going to inject him an alarm pierced the air. They immediately dropped the syringe on the table and quickly left the room. Ruth sighed in relief as they watched the scientist leave.
“Hey guys,” Sara pointed eagerly to the door, “The door is open. We can leave.”
“What,” Natalie asked excitedly as she raced to the door.
“Praise God,” Delany applauded as she opened the door.
“Well, what are we waiting in here for,” Zayne asked as he checked to make sure no one was in the hallway, “It’s clear, lets go.” They ran down the hall going left and then right then right again until they became hopelessly loss.
“Lets go left,” Sara said as they came to another fork in the hallway.
“I think…” Zayne started talking.
“Guys,” Ruth interrupted, “ someone’s coming!”
“Hurry in here,” Delany waved as they all ran into a room closing the door behind them as fast as they could.
They relaxed, only, when the voices vanished down the hallway.
“Where are we,” Natalie asked as she looked around.
“I don’t know but there is another room right next to us, ”Sara commented looking through the slightly opened door, “but there are a lot of people in there.” They all silently gathered around the opened door and looked into the titanic sanctuary. There was a good looking man addressing the crowd. “We have struck a great blow against the enemy,” the man said talking to his men.
“I don’t believe it,” Ruth whispered as she looked at the men closely, “these men are the ones from my dreams.”
“Dreams,” Sara asked with confusion.
“I have had dreams where these shadowy men did terrible things to me and the people I cared about,” Ruth said as she pointed at the men in the room,
“and they look exactly like them.”
“Whoa,” they said in unison a little bit too loudly because every head turned towards them.
“Looks like we have some uninvited guests,” the leader said coolly, “men get them.” Ruth and her friends didn’t wait to see what was happening. They ran down the gray halls praying that they find a way out, as the footsteps of men quickly pursued
