BRUCE

Tereny went to the cafeteria to eat her breakfast so that she wouldn't be eating it in my face. I highly appreciated that. But those cravings were something serious. She had to have mustard with every damn thing.

Waiting for her to come back, I thought ran across my mind. What if she left? I tried to brush that thought back just as quick as it had implanted in my brain. Shaking the thought away, I put my focus onto the TV to see Big Bang Theory on.

I could barely hear, so I turned the volume up and tuned into it. And while tuned in, I could sense someone watching me. And I put it in my mind of who it was and started smiling. I didn't want to look at her because I would only burst out laughing and end up hurting myself, so I remained quiet.

But curiosity killed me, forcing me to want to do nothing but watch my wife instead of the TV. When I turned my head towards the door, my heart had stopped for a moment and I stopped breathing.

The slick smile on his face sent chills through my body. Is he here to kill me? I thought to myself as he walked into my room. When he got closer, I budged and was about to press the button on my remote to call for a nurse, but he was two steps ahead and grabbed it from the bed, holding onto it as if he were patronizing me.

"We ain't gonna have none of that." He mumbled. "Now, I'm not here to hurt you, because from what it look like, they already cut ya ass open." He chuckled to himself. I guess he expected for me to join in because when I didn't, he gave me a serious look that scared me.

"Anyway...so, chirping around the forest says that you sent ole' girl to the cops to tell them about my business." He paused for a moment. "And I just want to let you know that I don't take it too kind when someone is fucking with my money. That's something you did. You told Gabby to run to the cops, right?"

I didn't know what the hell he was talking about. I didn't tell Gabby to tell the cops anything. Her going to the cops was her doing. I was just riding in the car. She was the one who said that she knew how to get him and that's what she did. All I wanted to do was fight him. I didn't want to get the authorities involved.

And from the size of this man, I could easily see that if I would've seen him and wanted to fight, I probably would've gotten my ass beat.

Now, where he could've gotten that info from, I'm not sure, but it was incorrect. I knew right then that I was going to have to use my voice.

"So...since you want to tell bitches to go to the cops about my business, I want you to know that you're gonna pay me back. I lost a lot of money behind your bullshit and you're gonna give me what's mine." Paci shook his head. "You young niggas get some pussy and think a bitch is automatically loyal. But as soon as I put a bullet through Gabby's shoulder, she cried your name so quick."

I couldn't believe in what I was hearing. How could Gabby do some foul shit like this? I get that I was going to involve myself by hunting this man down, but I had no intentions of getting him into trouble with the law. I didn't even know this man's occupation before she told me. I don't want to mess with anyone's money. But considering that he's in belief that I intended to, I knew that I was going to have to get myself out of this.

"Now, since we want to run to the authorities and shit, if you run to them again, I'm gonna kill your bitch and I don't give a fuck how anybody feels about it. I'm a man of my word. I think you should ask Gabby." Paci threatened me.

"I didn't tell her to do anything. She took it upon herself." I faintly said, feeling the pain start to take over. But I was determined to stick up for myself.
