Days after Maya encountered Kai at the mall, she began thinking what she considered her and Kai as. Were they friends or just two people who met at a beach? She didn't want to overthink it, because then her thoughts would lead to other things.

Kai doesn't know that Maya is attending the same wedding as him, at least that's what Maya thinks. Unless he does know, and doesn't want to tell her he knows. Again, overthinking.

Joshua asked Maya if she wanted to hang out with him, Jeonghan, and Mingyu. The two from the shaved ice shop they visited a little over a week ago. Maya of course obliged to come. And apparently one of Jeonghan and Mingyu's friend is having a small party, and invited them. So they invited Joshua and Maya. They were all currently in the car.

"So Maya, how's Hawaii treating you?" Jeonghan asked Maya, looking at her through the rear view mirror. Joshua turned his head to look at Maya, who was sitting next her and Mingyu sitting in the passenger seat. "It's been great. Yeah, I've gone to the beach a lot, and I feel like I should probably stop soon before I fall asleep in the sun and get a bad sun burn."

The three boys in the car chuckled lightly at her answer. "That's going to be hard, considering it's hard not to go outside in Hawaii." Mingyu stated looking back at her.

"Yeah, I know." Maya giggled, and stared out the window. "So, this, uh, party." Maya began. "It's not going to be like a huge party right? Because I don't do too good with big groups of people."

"No. It's small, it's actually just always a kick back honestly." Joshua responded to Maya. Gesturing with his hands. Maya nodded slowly, and bit down on the inside of her cheek.

Minutes later, they arrived at a beach house, set in front of the shore. Maya saw about five other cars parked out front of the house. The four got out and headed inside of the house. Maya heard commotion from the back room, and walked behind the other three. Once she turned corner, she saw seven other boys from what she counted in her head. She also noticed the back door wide open to a walkway to the beach.

"Joshua! Haven't seen you in a while, how've you been?" A boy with grayish-brown hair greeted him. "I've been good. I've been with my cousin," He gestured towards Maya, and a smile plastered on her face. "Everyone this Maya, Maya this is Seungcheol, Seungkwan, DK, Hansol, Hoshi, Minghao, and Jun."

Maya smiled at everyone individually. "Wait, where's Woozi, DK, and Dino?" Maya made a confused face at all the names for everyone, not that they were weird, but she's never heard names like them. Were they nicknames?—she thought. "Woozi, DK, and Dino?" Maya whispered to Joshua.

"Yeah. They're all nicknames, but they've mainly almost turned into their real names. Almost everyone here has a nickname." Joshua explained to her, she nodded her head. Someone told Joshua Woozi, DK, and Dino were all getting food in the kitchen.

They all sat on the plush couches in the large room, just talking amongst themselves. Maya was sat in between Mingyu and Joshua, and she wondered if there was any other girls coming. "Are any girls coming?" She asked Mingyu who was on the left of her.

Mingyu leaned his shoulder a tad closer to hers and shook his head. "It's normally just us guys. Not that we're friends with girls, it's just us guys just hang out because we all get along so well." Maya nodded her head and leaned back on the couch.

"So, Maya." Someone started talking in the room. She thinks it was Seungkwan, but she wasn't sure. "I heard you're only staying for the summer."

"Yeah, I am. But so far I honestly just want to move here now."

"Why? Because of all the good looking boys, such as myself." He flicked his hair, and Maya chuckled, while the other boys groaned. "You're not that pretty, don't get too full of yourself." Hoshi spoke up, with a wide smile on his face.

Seungkwan scoffed. "I'll have you know, my face is so symmetrical, models wish they had a face like me." And with that statement, Hoshi rolled his eyes, as did two other people. "Anyways, back to Maya." Jun stated, laughing.

"Have you met any other people while you've been here?" He asked. Maya had to admit, he was very handsome. But not her type for some reason. Maya thought for a moment, and wondered if she should mention Kai, but Joshua seemed to gladly mention him for her.

"She met this guy named Kai at the beach one day, and now she never stops talking about him." There was a chorus of 'ooohs' from everyone. Maya noticed Mingyu shifted uncomfortably. "Joshua! That's not true at all. I've talked about him maybe once." Maya playfully hit Joshua on the arm.

"Oh, come on you talk about him all the time. Don't deny it." Joshua grinned like an idiot. Maya put her face in her hands, hiding herself from blushing.

"What's all the raucous?" A boy popped his head into the room along with two others. "Oh, Joshua brought his cousin Maya. And we're just messing with her." Hansol answered to the boy.

"That's Dino, Woozi, and DK." Joshua said pointing to them individually, Maya nodded. "Since when do we allow girls here." Woozi retorts, and Maya suddenly felt very unwelcome. And everyone stared at Woozi and Maya. "Oh come Woozi. There's never been a no girls policy, chill." Seungcheol patted him on the back, and smiled warmly at Maya.

"I know, I was, uh, only joking." Woozi made a smile on his lips, that wasn't very believable to Maya, but she shoved it off. "Where's Wonwoo?" Dino questioned sitting on the floor in front of Minghao.

"Right here." The tall boy came into the room, sitting next to Mingyu. "What did I miss?"

"We're just talking about Maya liking this guy named Kai." Jeonghan answered with a smirk on his face. "No we're not." Maya shook her head towards Wonwoo, and smiled widely.

"A guy named Kai, you say?" Wonwoo questioned, with a serious look on his face. Maya nodded slowly, and wondered why he asked in a serious tone.

"Let me guess," He leaned back into the couch. "He met you, and said some cocky line, and tried to ask you questions about yourself?" Everyone snapped their head towards Maya after Wonwoo's statement.

"Yeah, why?" Maya asked slowly, and tilted her head to the side. Now, more interested in conversation. Wonwoo made a click sound with his tongue in his mouth. "And let me guess, you just so happen to run into him almost anywhere you go?"

Maya's heart sped faster, and she couldn't control it. She nodded slowly once again, and it stayed silent. "What's your point Wonwoo?" DK suddenly announced. "Yes, we all want to know now." Minghao commented leaned forward, and leaned into his hands.

Wonwoo sighed, and stroked his hair. "He's not that sweet, sarcastic guy you think he is."
