Joshua was trying to teach Maya how to play the guitar, but they were getting absolutely no where.
"This is too frustrating!" Maya complains, wanting to tear her hair out.
"It's really not," He chuckled, "You're not even trying."
"Am too! I just, don't feel like putting much effort into this right now."
"Exactly."
Maya gave him a dead panned look.
"Can we do something else? Like going into town to get shaved ice?"
"Yeah, actually." Jumping from his seat, Joshua seeming more eager than Maya expected.
"Well you seem eager to go get some shaved ice."
"I love it, that's all." Joshua smiled that one glorious smile, where his eyes smiled too.
"Mhmm." Maya mumbles grabbing her purse. "Let's just hurry and go now, maybe there isn't a huge line."
Joshua nods, and grabs his keys off the side table.
"Where do you two think you're going?"
Maya and Joshua slowly turn their heads towards where the voice is coming from.
"Why we're getting shaved ice uncle Jack." Maya smiles, showing all her teeth.
The older man looks at the two, "Well then, bring Jolene with you two." He states, afterwards calling out Jolene's name.
The small girl comes running in, almost slipping over her own feet.
"Yes papa?"
"Your brother and Maya are gonna take you to get shaved ice."
The girl squealed and ran to get her shoes on. She came back with a cute little purse also. "I'm ready, let's go!" The little girl chirped, dragging Maya and Joshua along by their arms.
The drive there was peaceful. Maya enjoyed the view of the people who lived in Hawaii. She thought it was neat of how different people live here, compared to Los Angeles. She actually loved the way they did things here, it made her want to move here.
As they pulled up to the adorable little shaved ice shop. Joshua adjusted the way he looked, Maya noticing.
Mayas lips curved, "Why are you fixing your hair and everything else huh? Is there possibly someone you like here?"
The smirk evident when she talked.Joshua coughed, "No," He blinked furiously, "I don't like anyone. I just want to look presentable, you know me." He played it off, but Maya wasn't buying it.
"Sure," She snorted, "We'll see."
Joshua gave Maya a quick playful dirty look, and walked into the shop holding his little sisters hand.
