Chapter 40- fireworks.

Shoutout to anyone who has ever seen Adventitious Adventures of One Direction before bc it is gr8.

Graces POV
The anxiety was building up the whole lunch period. Aubree has to leave my side to go to her locker, and I had to go to mine alone. I walk there, praying he wasn't there. And, my prayer came true! He must have still been in science. But Mark was there, ew.

"Hey Grace. Or should I say Jacob lover." He says. I quickly grab my stuff for my next class and slam my locker. I walk away without saying a word to Mark. I walk down the hallway and feel people glaring at me. The fact that Jacob is in my next class doesn't help. I don't know why, but my schedule changes like every other day. And I hate it. I had math next, and Jacob and I sit right next to each other. I get into class, and everyone was talking with each other and stuff. Jacob finally gets in there and stuffs his stuff down. He walks over to me, and my heart starts beating really fast.

"Hey." He says.

"How was lunch?" He asks me. He must not know yet. But he will find out sooner or later. Poop.

"Um it was boring." I say.

"That's cause I wasn't there!" He says, and I giggle. Finally, our teacher walked in, but we had a sub today.

"Ok, so on the sub notes all it says is to complete these problems in your book on page 69." She says. Jacob and I look at each other and die of laughter. The sub goes to the back of the class and goes on her phone for the rest of the time. Just great. Jacob and I quickly finish the problems, so we can talk and stuff.

"Hey Jacob, did you hear what happened at lunch today?" A random kid who's name I didn't even know said. Great. He better not say it.

"What?" Jacob asks, still confused.

"Well Brandon found out who Grace likes." Another kid says.

"Really, I've wanted to know forever! Who is it?" Jacob asks. Oh shoot, don't cry don't cry don't cry.

"I'm suprised you don't know." A kid says.

"She likes you Jacob! Grace is in love with you." A random kid says. Everyone start laughing, as I run out of the class. Once I get out of there, I start bawling. I didn't care who was in the hallway, I didn't even care who saw me anymore. All of a sudden I feel a hand grab mine, and I look behind me and see it was Jacob. I feel sparks ignite in my stomach. He pulls me into a random closet, and closes the door. He pulls the light so he could see my ugly ass face.

"Are they being serious? Do you like me?" He asks me. I just start burst out crying again.

"I didn't want this to happen. I know if I tell you the truth then you won't want to be my friend again." I say.

"Just tell me. I will always be your friend." He says. Gosh, he really knows how to warm my heart.

"I've liked you for as long as I can remember. And I know I sound stupid but it's true. I just, I just-" I get interrupted by him putting his hand over my mouth.

"I feel the same way. I've liked you for as long as I can remember. I like you so fricking much, words can't ever explain." He says. Our lips smash together, and I feel the fireworks in my stomach. The fireworks explode, and it was that amazing feeling I've been waiting for. The fireworks were the feeling I have been craving for years. Those fireworks were telling me that he's the one.
