Graces POV
"Hurry up! We are gonna be late for school!" I shout upstairs as Mark groggily walks downstairs. He pours a bowl of cereal and slowly eats it, like I have time to wait for that.
"Whatever. I'm leaving without you." I say, and walk out. I walk by Jacobs house, and wait for about two minutes until nobody still doesn't come to the door. I decide to text him. Before though, I still have to change his name in my contacts.
Me: Where are you?
He replies almost immediately.
Jacob❤️ : sorry, my mom gave me a ride😔but we can pick you up tomorrow, or I can walk with you?
Me: ok, thanks. I'll see ya at school.
Jacob❤️ : okkkkk:)
I start to continue my walk, until someone jumps on my shoulders and I topple to the ground. My legs couldn't handle it. I look up to see Hunter and Brandon laughing there lil ass's off.
"That hurt!" I say, then pretend to stomp away.
"Where's Mark?" Brandon asks.
"He was late so I left him. Oops" I say, and they both shrug.
"Well since now your toothpi- I mean legs hurt, I can give you a piggy back ride?" Hunter says, dying of laughter.
"Im gonna ignore the part where you call my legs toothpicks and except the offer." I say and jump on his back. Brandon gives us a sour look then goes on his phone.
"Hey Brandon, I bet I can still beat you to school with Grace on my back!" He says, and starts running. I gripped on so tight because I was not ready for that. I look behind me and Brandon is still walking, and he is on his phone!
"Hunter stopppppp!" I say, and he holts to a stop.
"What?" He asks, confused. Then he looks behind him and kinda awkwardly runs back by Brandon.
"Hey, what's wrong Brando?" Hunter asks him.
"Nothing, you wouldn't get it. Plus, it's embarrassing!" He says then continues to go on his phone.
"Really? What wouldn't I get." I say, and cross my arms.
"It's because your dating Jacob now, ok!" He says, then runs off.
"Wait seriously?!" Hunter asks. "I knew he liked you."
"Yeah, well I didn't wanna tell Brandon because now everything is going to be awkward." I say, as I feel tears form in my eyes.
"Oh, I'm well-" I cut Hunter off and run away. Back to my house.
