Part Thirty One

As I followed Laurence I saw the beautiful sunset. It reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on it.

Anyways... I trust Laurence now. Why? Because I found out why he acted so... Different after the surgury... It was because those cat ears seem to have been poisoned with a spell or potion that makes the user evil... Now that he (and myself) don't have to wear cat ear cast things I know Laurence is back to normal... Or at least I hope...

He led me to a part of the beach people don't come often therefore being a little... suspicious...

"What are we doing here?" I ask

"The surprise is right here" Laurence answers

He hurries to a box and then waits until I catch up.

Long silence

"Well... Open it" he says

I slowly open it.

"Oh my- Laurence how'd you know I wanted a puppy?" I ask picking up the adorable puppy.

"It was actually Travis' idea. He volunteers at the pet shelter and found this little one and decided to give it to you. He also said I should give it to you as an apology for... What I did..." he says looking away sadly

Silence falls as he looks away. The puppy sits and looks at us dramatically. I get closer to Laurence and give him a hug.

"It's fine, I understand..." I say

He then hugs me back and the puppy comes and likes his face.

"Puppy attack" I yell playfully

Laurence's POV
I got the puppy off my face and saw y/n laughing. In the background I could make out someone being washed up on the shore.

I walked towards the body with y/n along my side. We cautiously walked up to the body. Who is this?

Your POV
Who is this? I've never seen him before... He had a red bandana and a black jacket. He seemed to be covering his chest with a fighting glove. I decided to check him for any injuries and looked under the glove first. He was badly wounded, with a arrow in chest. I go to the crate and quickly searched for a first aid kit. Once I found one I patched up the stranger, he started slowly waking up. He looked up at me and sat down.

"Thank you, I must leave now" he says in a rush

"Wait-" but before I could finish my sentence he disappears

"Your welcome" I whisper under my breath. I lay my head low and in the corner of my eye, see a red bandana. I pick up the bandana and hold it tight. Laurence comes and rubs my back while I cry. This reminds me of that night.

We head back. I lay my head low and wipe my tears. Laurence then comforts me as everyone falls silent. Garroth steps up.

"What happened?" he asks cautiously

Everything.... Everything happened...
