Part Thirty Three

Garroth's POV
That memory... That dream... It's come to taunt me... But I won't let it. It'll take much new than pretty jealously to break me... Right?!

I wake up and remember word about a forest east of here so I decide to go. There I saw a cave that seemed to have a fire.

"I'll explore that later" I say thinking out loud

I explore it in my uniform just in case there are bandits and other threats. I hear a noise coming from a bush. I head toward it but a figure runs out I chase it and see my nightmare.

"No... This can't be real..." I say starting to slowly tear up

I run to the cave I saw earlier and hear someone following me.

"Who goes there?" I ask

"Calm down, I don't mean to cause any trouble" I hear a voice say

I turn around to see him behind me. I inspect him and notice he looks strikingly similar to y/n's description of the stranger.

"Wait... We're you the one that was swept on shore and-"

"Yes, I am" he says interrupting me

"May I ask you who you are and what is your buisness?" I ask the stranger

"My name is not if importance but I was fighting and that's all that should be spoken of" he says

"Mysterious, eh? Well, I guess I'll take my leave" I say ending the conversation

I head back to my room and Laurence gives me a where were you kinda face. All was silent until he asked.

"Garroth why'd you head out. I know you and its really unlike you and I thought we talked about... It" Laurence says

"I know I was supposed to leave it behind but I can't. I care for my people and until its mandatory, I'll stop" I reply

"What's up with you lately?" Laurence mutters under his breath

"Nothing..." I respond

"Sorry I thought you-"

"It's fine. I need some time... Alone" I tell Laurence

" I-... Ok" he responds

He gathers his things and says he'll stay with Travis and y/n for a while. I just don't want to see him right now...

Your POV
*yawn* "I think I overslept -Laurence what are you doing here!" I exclaim

"Garroth needed some alone time so I'm staying here for a while." he explains

"Well we only have a few more weeks here, so your welcome to stay for as long as you must" I say

He then gives me an *did I interrupt something * look

I look around confused and see the minor issue. Travis fell asleep again holding me like a teddy bear. Predictable.

"What jealous?" I say

"Wh- what! No! I just was wondering... " he says blushing

He then squeezes in with Travis and I as we fall asleep. Now I'm also Laurence's teddy bear apparently... What a morning, huh? As I fell asleep I thought

One thing's been on my mind...

Why would Garroth act like that?
