"....I understand, proceed" Garroth says

I don't respond. Travis then takes me back to the room to talk.

"What happened?..." he asks me lightly

I wipe a tear and respond.

"I don't know.... He's a total stranger... But this feeling..."

Long silence. Laurence enters the room with the crate in his hands and with Garroth behind him carrying the puppy. Travis then gave them a signal and a look. They put the items down and then walked towards us. They clearly overheard our private conversation but I didn't care. They were here for me, and that was enough. Travis then consoled me until I would stop crying. Laurence then was in Travis' place.

"Look... I know I saw it too but let's not get carried away here. We don't even know him, and your not one too act like this" He said trying to reason with me

Long silence

"I'm ok now" I say wiping away the tears. Laurence leaves as Garroth comes in.

Long awkward silence.

Garroth's POV
Why do I have to come in? I bet she doesn't even want to see me! But I hate seeing her like this. I guesse I'll try and talk to her while I still have the chance...

Your POV

Long silence

"I'm sorry about what happend and-"

"Please, don't talk" I say interrupting him

He sits there quietly and puts the crate away.

Another long silence

"I'm sorry Garroth, I'm being moody again" I apologize

" Like old times, eh?" he teases

"Hey! At least I can wield a sword" I joke

"Is that a challenge?" he asks

"It might" I say

"Challenge accepted" he says tossing me a sword. I catch it and block his attack. Night falls and we then decide we head outside.

The sand is warm and air is crisp. I can hear the waves impact on the shore (over Travis snoring that is). As I admire their view, Garroth caught me off guard and attacked.

"Skilled, eh?" I say blocking his attack

"Only head guard" he brags

"Hmmm... Last time I saw you being important was when you accidentally turned me into a werewolf senior year of high school" I joke

"Hey! At least I didn't shed fit everywhere" he jokes

Shirt silence (for once)

"Thanks Garroth" I say

"For what?" he asks putting his sword away

"Helping me... I thought you'd just be more salt in my wound but instead you helped" I explained

"...Honestly I thought I could never face you again after the incident a while back"

*sielnce with awkward stares"

"Anyways you should head back in, we do only have a few more weeks here. Don't want you to spend it all sleeping" he jokes

"You too snores-a-lot " I joke back heading in my room

Everything's starting to look up once more...
