Finding out what your gift is, is really nerve racking. It took a few days to perfect and learn how to fly and use telepathy, but my individual gift? I can't even imagine. Would it hurt? Could I even control it? Or would it control me..?
Some people here have some really cool ones though. The names of them are really long which gets pretty confusing. A guy named Greyson, can bend elements while this girl named Marcilene has clairvoyance. She can tell what going on anywhere in the world. Caspian has psychometry; He can tell the history of anyone or anything by touching it. Seraphina has aura perception. She basically can see your 'true self.' Which is kind of scary. You wouldn't even be able to lie to her without her seeing your aura change.
It's been a few days and Estrella, Harper and I still don't know our gifts yet. Currently, The clan is taking us to a lake where some statue named Gladiator will 'awaken' our gift.
"Are you ready to find out?" Harper asked.
"Not really. I'm actually really nervous."
"I just hope mine doesn't suck.." Estrella laughed.
"What if they do though?" I half joked.
I couldn't help but worry if mine really did. How'd I be of any help if my gift was useless?
"I don't know, live with it?" Harper remarked.
Caspian called out that we were here. The lake was clear as the sky that rested above it. A beautifully sculpted stallion rearing on its hind legs stood proudly in the middle. It's podium had a gold plaque with Latin scripting on the front.
"That's Gladiator." Seraphina said walking in front of us. "His spirit will come out and assist the keystone. We think it's gonna be Estrella."
"Why? And what's a keystone?"
"Just a feeling. I see it in her aura. It's green." She claimed. "That's why Caspian and I selected you three. We figured out that one of you were the keystone.
Keystone? I guess I'll find out soon enough.
"What's mine?"
She looked hard at me, and her expression darkened.
"What?"
"I'll... tell you later."
"Okay..?"
There's way too much that's happened to me to be concerned at the moment, I'll worry about it later.
Greyson lifted rocks out from the lake so we could walk to the tiny spot of land holding the statue. There were two hand prints where I assumed you'd put your hands for this to work. What's creepier was the fact that Gladiator's head was looking down at you. As I began to zone out, I felt a hand rest on my shoulder.
"Let Estrella go first." Caspian said with a hint of excitement.
Seraphina led Estrella away from the clan and up to the statue where she kneeled. Once she did, her hands were placed in the prints.
"Now gaze into his eyes." Seraphina instructed.
Estrella looked into Gladiator's eyes and his lit up a bright red. The misty red aura showered her. I subconsciously held my bated breath waiting for a spectacle to occur.
