Chapter 15: Not really sure how to feel about it
My “free” session ended and I couldn’t shake the idea of someone, Gabrielle, knowing that I wasn’t gay. Does this mean there’s a possibility that others know? Jade isn’t dumb. She’ll realize sooner or later. But for the time being, I’d prefer later.
I was about to head into my psychology class when I saw her about to enter another class.
“Gabrielle!” I called out to her, “Why…does it matter to you?” I asked hesitantly
She smirked in satisfaction.
“We’ll talk after school.” She said before sauntering off
I balled my fists. She better be worth all this trouble.
Just as she had promised, she was outside of the school leaning against some tree. I could tell she was trying to pull a whole tough girl façade, I mean I’m a pretty intimidating guy.
“Alright, well?”
“I want to help you.” She surprised me but I didn’t let it show
“And why should I let you help me?”
“Because you’re desperate.”
“I-I am not desperate!” I retorted, my voice cracking
“Really? The Zayn I know wouldn’t give in to someone who makes a claim that he wasn’t gay. And your voice is cracking.”
“You don’t know me.”
“Wow…” she paused and shook her head, “You popular people are so vain. You just think you’re the only people in the entire world!”
“Me? Popular?” I asked truly surprised
“Yeah kinda.”
Wow, I hadn’t the slightest idea anybody else knew my name. Let alone my business. I just stood there in disbelief.
“Yeah when you’re ‘gay’ you get a lot of attention.” She joked, putting air-quotes on gay
My mind flashed to the boy in the bathroom earlier. Was he envious of me because I could ‘come out’ and he’d be scared of all the attention? I scratched the back of my head and searched her face for deceit.
“Okay…And if I choose to accept, what’s in it for you?”
“Oh nothing. Just p-personal reasons,” she blushed, “So do we have a deal?” She held out her hand
I hesitated and saw Jade emerge from the school building and walk into Christian’s embrace. He saw me and just smirked.
“You bet you have a deal.” I grabbed Gabrielle’s hand
Woo ! Zayn has a partner in crime now! Do you guys like her? I absolutely love the character to be honest with you.
Anyways, any theories on why Gabrielle wants to help Zayn. I’ve heard quite a few from my friends so I want to know what you guys think too !
Dedication to TajaeDewar because of her, you guys get updates so be happy ! She’s the one who keeps forcing me to write everyday in English class when I REALLY don’t want to.
So give her a round of applause.
One more thing, erm what was it again... Hm it seemed to have slipped my mind, oh wait I WON THE AWARD FOR BEST ZAYN IN THE 1D WATTY AWARDS!! All thanks to you guys !!
