Chapter 18: Two weeks later
Gabrielle and I sat on the edge of my bed with a medium sized pizza, just talking as it had become our weekly Thursday ritual. Gabs thought Friday was just too mainstream.
“So,” I said as I swallowed the last piece of my pizza, “Tell me the ACTUAL reason why you decided to help me.”
“You really wanna know?” she asked me
When I nodded she sighed in response and looked away.
“I wanted to help you because well…..I like you.”
“Really Gabs? I like you too, that’s not a reason.”
“No Zayn, I mean ‘like you’ as in I like your personality and I think you’re attractive.”
I tried to decipher whether she was joking or not. When her eyes met mine I saw something I hadn’t seen since I had been ‘dating’ Toby. I sat in silence letting the realization take over.
“Yeah…I figured you’d have nothing to say or very little…I’ll just go.” She said gathering her things
“No, wait Gab, don’t leave.” I grabbed her hand
“No, no. I mean it’s okay. There’s lots of girls out there who like you and you don’t like them back.” She said slipping her bag over her shoulder
“Too bad that’s not the case with Jade, eh?” She said before walking through the door
Good job Zayn, you’ve really messed things up now. Hopefully I could find some way to make it up to her tomorrow…
Ha-ha ! Did anyone guess that? I know some of you probably had that at the back of your head but you didn’t want to think to simply. I don’t blame you, I got a bunch of answers like ‘Does Gabrielle want to break up Jade and Christian cause she likes Christian’ or ‘Were Gabrielle and Christian once together but she was playing dumb for Zayn and wanted to get back at him’ or even a bizarre one of ‘Were Christian and Gab’s brother together and they broke up and he’s secretly gay’ and all that jazz !
Plain and simple, the girl likes Zayn. Wow, kind of anti-climactic, but it got you guys thinking didn’t it ;)
That was the plan !
Mark your calendars ! 1D Day is coming up on Nov. 23 and the boys will be doing a 7 hour twitcam ! This is the first announcement that didn’t cost money :D
So… how’s the weather and….stuff….

P.S. WHY AM I PLAGUED WITH THIS SHORT CHAPTER DISEASE ! too bad it won't go away until like just about 3 chapters, but don't worry they're all very fun chapters, I guarantee you'll like them :)
