Chapter 25- What Really Happened?
I texted Gabrielle saying I had something to tell her. She came running out of the apartment, with an anxious look on her face.
“Did you get it? Did he confess?”
I held up my phone for her and a smile spread across her face. She threw her arms around me and I returned the embrace.
“I hope she doesn’t take it too hard…”
“I know…I forgot to say how grateful I am for your help.”
“Yeah…No problem…”
“Seriously,” I held her shoulders, “I owe you for this.”
She nodded wearily.
“Now get back to school and talk to her!” She tossed me her car keys
“Aren’t you coming?”
“I think I’ll just skip the rest of the day.” She bit down on her lower lip
“Look who’s being the rebel now! I’m such a bad influence.” I chided myself dramatically
I winked at her before jogging down the street, in preparation to tell the girl whom I love, a statement which could either break her heart, or well…break her heart.
