Chapter 9: Are things getting better or worse?
I couldn’t be bothered to go to school today. I just stayed at home and told my family I was sick. I was on my phone for the majority of the day and I would smoke a bit here and there. I was deep in thought when someone knocked on my door. I outted it quickly and tried to act natural.
Toby walked in quietly and took a seat on my bed.
“What’s up?” I asked him.
“You didn’t come to school.” He said quietly.
“Well, yeah.” He chuckled.
He looked at me.
“Do you remember what happened last night?”
“Well…uh. No.” I admitted.
He got up and began to pace.
“What’s wrong?”
“Last night Zayn! I took advantage of you and I…I…I…”
My eyes widened. Did he…? I hesitantly reached for my bottom.
“No! I…well, uh…we…touched each other…down there…”
I grimaced.
“Zayn I’m soo sorry. That really shouldn’t have happened. I got carried away when you kissed me…and I knew you were drunk so I just let loose…”
I rubbed my hands on my knees. Why did I do that? This just makes things awkward.
“Zayn,” He interrupted my thoughts, “I know things are actually getting harder, but I don’t think ‘WE’ should continue.”
Was TOBY actually breaking up with me?
“You’re right. I shouldn’t be tempting you. So…should we still be friends?”
“I don’t think that would be smart. But if you ever want to talk, I’m here.” He smiled.
“Alright. Thanks for everything Toby. Maybe this is a sign that Jade will know soon.”
“Yeah,” He said heading for the door, “Go get your girl.” He chuckled.
Believe me, I will. I’m one step closer to getting her.
Looks like I’m on my own from now on. I needed a plan to tell Jade, but seeing as I probably will never find the courage to tell her so the plan for right now was to break up Christian and Jade without them knowing that I was splitting them up, all while pretending to be a single gay guy. Yup, just a normal day for Zayn Malik.
This was a short but very important chapter. I bet most of y’all are happy that Zoby broke up but this chapter is a very important stepping stone to something HUGE in the story that I bet NONE of you can guess ;) But you can try if you want J
