Ugh... School again I thought as I got my lazy ass out from under my purple blanket. This school stuff was really getting lame. It has only been 4 days and I'm already tired of it. I got up did my morning routine. I decided to let my hair down with a purple headband. I wore a purple crop top with GEEK in big black bold letters, a black skinny jeans and a purple and white converse. I took up my purple side bag and my I-phone and made my way to my car and to school.
I was on my way to my homeroom when I saw Kaylor running towards me. By the time she reach me she was out of breath.
"There's a party" She started but stopped to catch her breath "At Taylor's house tonight" She continued then stopped again "And we are going shopping for it" She added
"So your telling me you ran all the way from the parking lot to here to tell me that useless bit of information???" I asked her in disbelief
"Its not useless if we go" She said bumping her shoulder on mine.
Didn't I tell this girl I was never going shopping with her again.
"Please, Please, Please Jess" She whined
"Okay but NO shopping" I told her and she started to pout. "Or else we aren't going" I told her
"Oh cool" She said after a few seconds. "I will have to borrow one of the dresses which you NEVER wear" She said playfully rolling her eyes.
"K then" I told her.
I was about to go into the homeroom when Kaylor stopped me
"We have Special Assembly in the Auditorium" She told me
"Oh cool" I told her " You can tell me what it is about when you come back cause I aint going" I informed her
"Have I ever been someone to take no for an answer?" She asked me "If you don't go I be the most annoying person you've ever met for the next 2 weeks" She informed me
I was about to tell her to go on but remembered the last time I took her up on her promise and trust me it was the worst mistake ever.
"You know for a best friend you are a utter pain in the a$$" I informed as I reluctantly made my way to the Auditorium which my 'parents' paid for.
I made my way to the middle of the Auditorium then I heard someone call out to me.
"Yow Jessica" I looked to see Jordan calling for me "Over here" he said gesturing to where he sat.
I made my way over with Kay right behind me.
"Hey" I said as I sat between Jordan and Dennis with Kay was to the right of Dennis.
"Jessica" Dennis said in a girly voice while enveloping me in a hug.
"Nobody sounds talks like that" I said as he pulled away
"Then you haven't heard Jordan singing" He said earning a good slap in his head from Jordan.
I laughed at the sight while Kay made an uncomfortable sound.
"You okay Kay???"I asked as I moved to sit beside her
"Why are we sitting here?" She asked
"Because the more time I spend with them the more I learn about them" I said "But if you want us to move..." I trailed off
"No its okay" She said smiling "After all it is not ever day I get to sit next to Five sexy bad ass" She said
"There is only four at the moment" I informed her "And what am I? A lump of clay?" I asked her
"Compared to us" Jordan stated "I'm gonna have to say yes" He added smirking
"Conceited much" I retorted
"Acknowledging what God blessed me with is not conceited" He told me. "Its being appreciating" He told me.
"Whatever Big Guy" I said rolling my eyes.
"Any particular reason they are here?" Taylor asked annoyance present in his voice.
"BECAUSE its a free country and they can sit anywhere they want to" Jordan stated but Taylor ignored him but didn't TRY to make me move but instead sat beside Kaylor who started to blush.
"Good Morning Malcom High" The principal bellowed over the micro-phone capturing most of the students attention. "Today we will be having our speech on drug abuse and alcohol" He announced causing a groan to erupt from most of the student.
It was the same every year. We would have the same lecture and nobody would actually listen but yet still the principal waste our time with it.
We were in the middle of the seminar when Taylor pulled out a cigarette.
"Hey didn't you hear a word that man just said?" I asked in disbelief.
I did a lot of things I wasn't suppose to do but NEVER have I ever smoked or been involved in drugs. I also utterly hated it when persons smoked mostly because of the fact that they are endangering themselves AND OTHERS AROUND THEM.
"Your point??? " He asked lighting up the cigarette and taking a puff causing Kay to scrunch up her nose in disgust.
"It's bad for your health AND it is disgusting to some people" I said gesturing to Kay who was trying to cover up a cough.
"If she doesn't like it then she should move" He said in a 'duh' tone
"Or maybe you can just get rid of the cigarette" Kay semi-shouted for the first time since she sat down.
Taylor looked at her as if he was surprised she could talk. A look of horror crossed her face as she realized she just shouted at Taylor.
She opened her mouth as in to apologized but I beat he beat her to the punch by putting out the cigarette.
He would listen to her but not to me. I thought but at least he putted it out.
"What's wrong sunshine???" Jacob asked as he noticed my arms which were folded firmly over my chest.
"Nothing" I grumbled as I took out my phone and went on Facebook.
I scrolled through my news feed.
Boring
BORING
Everything was B-O-R-I-N-G.
"Jess?" Kay asked quietly
"Hmmm..." I said
"Follow me to the bathroom now" She informed me
I absentmindedly follow her to the bathroom in the auditorium.
"Jess how did you manage to get so close to them in just a week?" She asked me as soon as we entered the bathroom.
I should have known that she was planning on questioning me when she asked me out of the blue to go to the bathroom.
"I am just that irresistible" I said shrugging my shoulder
"Oh c'mon" She said shaking herself.
"We just have a lot in common" I said "All of us except Taylor that is" I told her
"Trust me you guys have a lot in common" She said drawing out 'a lot'
"Like what?" I asked her
"You both are stubborn, rude, sarcastic and secretive" She said
"I am not secretive" I protested "I tell you everything" I added
"Not all the time" She said.
"That's because I don't go around telling strangers everything about myself" I retorted
"You didn't even want to tell me your parents name after we turned friends in the 8th grade" She said rolling her eyes.
I laughed at her comment and she started laughing along with me.
