“Relax a little won’t you?” asked Eva as she sipped her refreshment all the while eyeing Jasmine who was pacing around the patio, by the pool. “Warm weather, sandy beach, palm trees, servants at your feet… This place is practically paradise, you should be enjoying it!” she exclaimed.

Jasmine snorted, “Being stuck on an island in the middle of the ocean is not my idea of enjoyment. Besides, I can’t relax when I know that I’d be having another date with Alec… in an hour,” she said in dismay.

“Actually, the show host said that the date you call it is more of an activity,” corrected Eva.

Jasmine rolled her eyes, but didn’t answer. Not much more than a day had passed since they had arrived on the island and she was already ticking off the days of their departure. On any other occasion, she would have enjoyed a getaway, but when you’re stuck with one mega jerk and a dozen feeble-minded girls, it’d be best to leave as soon as possible.

“Ooh look who’s coming this way,” pointed out Eva suddenly with a goofy grin, “Well he came for you pretty early.”

Jasmine immediately glanced towards where Eva was pointing to and scrunched up her nose. Alec was here way too early for her liking, but as he came closer, she immediately noticed the smirk plastered on his face.

“Well…take a picture sweetheart, it’ll last longer,” he said, noticing how Jasmine was staring at him.

“Ugh, as if,” she muttered before crossing her arms. “Our date isn’t until three o’clock, so what do you want?”

“It’s not what I want, it’s what you want,” corrected Alec with an even bigger smirk as he held out a golden pocket watch and waved it in the sun.

Jasmine stared at it. She had been so busy the last week and had completely forgotten to take it back from him. Cautiously, she reached over to grab it, but without warning Alec tossed the pocket watch into the pool and pushed her backwards, sending her straight into the chlorinated water.

“See you in an hour,” said Alec smugly before turning to leave one pissed off person…

“Oohhhh that asshole thinks he can push me around!” seethed Jasmine angrily as she tried her hair with a towel, “I’ll show him… He’s going to pay for that!

Eva laughed, “I’m sure you’ll find a way to torture him…”

Usually horseback riding was one of Jasmine’s favourite things to do, but riding with a guy who recently pushed you into a pool was another story…

“So I assume you already know how to ride a horse right?” questioned Alec as he brought out two horses from the stable.

Still pissed from early this afternoon, Jasmine ignored his question and asked one herself, “How are you able to keep these horses on your island? They need daily attention!”

Alec rolled his eyes, “Good Lord! You are one annoying girl,” he muttered before thrusting the reins of a snowy white horse to her.

“That didn’t answer my question!”

Alec sneered, “You didn’t answer mine either,” he retorted as he climbed onto the saddle of his dark grey horse before glancing back at Jasmine, “Okay, I’ll assume that you do know how to horseback ride. The horse in front of you is named Snowflake and she’s—”
