Introduction

    When their youngest child , Jasper Nirvana Armstrong, was born, neither Billie Joe nor Adrienne knew raising her would be this hard, although they wouldn't trade her for anything. They thought that since they had raised two boys, raising a girl would not be the challenge of their life, but oh how they were wrong.

    At the age of five, Jasper was diagnosed with Childhood Onset Schizophrenia. She was battling hallucinations, delusions, paranoia, among the many other symptoms of the illness. Two years later, at the age of seven, she was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Severe Social Anxiety.
