Pagkaalis ni Gabriel ay napansin ko ang book na naiwan sa sahig. Hindi na siguro napansin ni Gabriel.

I picked up the book and read the cover.

Love-locked in Paris

Truth be told, this book looks really interesting. I read the summary at the back of the book to see if it could be the book that I'll borrow.

It's about a girl that made a promise to herself na pupunta lang siya sa Paris kasama ang one true love niya. Pero sa sobrang tagal niya nang naghihintay na dumating ang taong yun ay nagdecide na lang siya na pumunta magisa at mula noon ay di na siya naniwala na may magmamahal pa sa kanya. Until one day, sa paglilibot niya sa Paris ay may nakilala siyang lalaki na nagpatibok muli ng puso niya. And from that day, ayaw na niyang umalis pa.

Binasa ko ng konti ang ilang pages ng libro until napansin ko na medyo dumidilim na.

Hiniram ko na ang libro at umuwi na. Baka hinahanap na din ako ni dad eh.

"Dad! I'm hooooome!" I yelled as soon as I got home.

Mukhang walang tao kaya tiningnan ko ang kitchen kung nandun si dad. May iniwan siyang letter sa fridge kaya binasa ko toh.

Dear Micah,

I'll be leaving the town for 3 weeks. I have a client meeting in Cebu. I left your allowance for your first week in school and I also enrolled you already.

Take care always and I left some food inside the fridge. Enjoy your box of pizza, gallon of ice cream, a pack of oreos and a gigantic bowl of ramen.

You can invite Angel over, in case you can't finish all of that. See you! I love you!

I opened the fridge and I tell you, Dad ain't lying.

Sinunod ko ang advice ni dad na iinvite si Angel pero I remembered na may party siya, so naisipan kong bukas na lang iinvite.

After that I made myself dinner. I grabbed a slice of pizza and 1/5 portion of the ramen.

It was a long day indeed that's why after I washed the dishes, I decided to go to sleep.
