You and Makoto were childhood bestfriends. You two were inseparable ever since the day you moved into their neighborhood. Every problem you had, you shared with him and vice versa. You knew each others strengths and weaknesses. And you both accepted each other the way you were. Ordinary. You shared lots of similarities too. You both were awful at dancing. And you were the most clumsy people on earth. But who cares? You were with your bestfriend anyway and he didn't mind.
When you grew up, you started to develop a small crush on him. You didn't mind, since you were still 12 years old. You didn't think romantically yet during that age. So you kept it to yourself and continued doing what bestfriends did.
You soon made friends with everyone in the neighborhood, but your bestest friend would always be Makoto. But you never told anyone your little crush on him. And you were pretty good at hiding secrets, you have to admit.
"(Y/N)?"
"Yes Naeggles?"
"Don't leave me alone. Ever. Please? And please, never forget me"
"Of course Naeggles. Why would I? You're too unforgettable" We both giggled at that statement
"Pinky swear?"
"Pinky swear"
When you were accepted at Hope's Peak Academy as the SHSL Friend, you were ecstatic. But then you realized that you wouldn't be with your bestest friend anymore. And you wouldn't be able to keep the pinku swear promise that you made with Makoto.You would miss the sleepovers that you frequently had at each others house. You would miss him cooking eggs for breakfast. You would miss cuddling each otherwhile watching a horror movie, blushing as he hugged you tight, and forgetting about the popcorn you made together as it spilled on the floor, unnoticed since you two were busy being scared. You became sad, really sad. When you told Makoto, you were not enthusiastic.
"What's wrong (Y/N)? You seem sad?" Makoto asked you, full of worry
"It's just that I'm going to miss you Naeggles. I was accepted at Hope's Peak Academy. And you know how far that is right?" You were close to tears as Makoto hugged you and said,"(Y/N), I was accepted at Hope's Peak too!"
You were truly happy that your bestfriend was coming with you to your dream school. As long aa your bestfriend was with you.
"Look Naeggles we're here!! Oh, I'm soooooo excited! They say that Sayaka Maizono, the popstar, will be attending the very same school as we are! I'm really nervous now." You said excitedly in the limousine you rode in with your bestfriend.
"Calm down (Y/N). You're the SHSL Friend. Surely you would be friends with them too!"
You soon stepped out of the car you were riding. You both marveled at the sight. Hope's Peak Academy really does fill you with hope.
As soon as you two entered, you felt a dizzy feeling.
You both woke up in a classroom. it was empty besides the two of you.
"W-where am I? Is this Hope's Peak Academy?" Said a brown haired guy sitting next to you
"I don't know. But look!"
You held up a paper to the stranger's face. It was a paper telling to assemble at the gym at 8:00 am. The two of you started to look for the gym.
You began to introduce yourself
"So, hello. I'm (F/N)(L/N). SHSL Friend. What's your name?" His eyebrows curled in confusion as you said your name. But he said his name too. "Hello (Y/N)! It's Makoto Naegi, SHSL Luckster." You remember something about this guy. But it's like someone purposely is hiding your own memories from you. You soon let go of the thought as you found the gym.
As soon as you entered, you introduced yourself to everyone in the gym. Soon, a black and white bear suddenly appeared.
He talked about a killing game and blah blah blah but you didn't care at all. Besides you had Makoto with you. Wait...did you just associate the situation with that brunette you woke up next to? He really did seem familiar and you felt as if you had history with the guy. But you felt safety with the guy. Besides, you were beginning to crush on the cute guy.

Many days had passed since the bear called Monokuma announced the killing game.Nothing much had happened but you became really close with Makoto Naegi, the guy you were crushing on. But you never showed it. You treated him like a normal friend. Soon Monokuma said it was so boring, and it wanted some killing. So it came up with a motive.
"My dears! I have a present for in that room" Monokuma pointed to a room that had some dvd players and screens and techy stuff you didn't really care about. "It is in that box. They have your names on it."
You all watched the cd's that were in the box. You were shocked by what you saw. You saw a picture your family. Then suddenly, the next picture showed the background destroyed and dilapidated. What was more shocking was that Makoto was in your family picture. You sobbed a little, thinking that your parents are dead. But then you rewatched the video. Makoto wasn't dead, and that video might have been a hoax.
You ran to your room crying still. Makoto being in your video wasn't a reassurance. You rewatched and rewatched your video. Then it hit you. All the memories came rushing back to you. You were all classmates. Celes, Togami, Sakura, Mukuro, and all the others. But Naegi. He was your bestfriend. He, he was your BOYfriend. You had the sweetest life anyone could imagine.
He protected you from Togami's insults. He helped you when you played cards against Celes. He always made an excuse for you when you were late and Ishimaru yelled at you and you were close to tears. And oh, how you missed those goodnight kisses from him. He was te best anyone could ask for. And when he confessed to you it was really sweet.
Flashback
You were going to meet Makoto at the garden. When you arrived, you saw a very flustered looking Makoto.
"Naeggles?"
"Oh! (Y/N)!" He quickly straightened his shirt/hoodie and walked to you.
"I-I wanted to t-tell you s-something" He stuttered a lot and blushed too.
"Hey, are you okay Naeggles?" You held his hand and he blushed harder.
"I-I like you (Y/N). I liked you ever since we became neighbors. I always wanted to tell you but I never had it in me. I do now. But if you don't feel the same way..."
He turned away sadly. I turned him to face me and lifted his head to make him see me. I was crying with tears of joy. I hugged him and said," I feel the same way too" We broke from the hug then he kissed me. His lips were so soft and gentle. I never thought my first kiss would be with my bestfriend. Lots of thoughts were running in my head. I was so shocked that I didn't get the chance to kiss back. He broke from the kiss and said,"I-I'm so sorry (Y/N) I didn't mean to rush-" You kissed him back, this time it was full of passion. It was not long before you both ran out of breath. "I love you, my one and only Naeggles."
"I'm so lucky", Makoto said
"But I've got the best boyFRIEND" You blushed at that statement. He just confessed, he hasn't proposed.
"Oh, boyfriend huh?" He laughed at you, and kissed you again. You both laughed.
You started to walk back to your dorms. Makoto spoke and said
"(Y/N)?"
"Yes Naeggles"
"Don't forget me"
"Of course Naeggles. Why would I? As I said before, you are too unforgettable. Pinky swear."
"Pinky swear"
Flashback ends
You cried and cried, knowing he would not remember at all. Even if he pinky swore. It was not his fault. Someone erased your memories on purpose.You cried until someone knocked on your door.
"Who is it?" You said while wiping your tears and trying your best to sound as if you didn't cry at all.
"It's Makoto, (Y/N)"
You opened the door when you felt someone's lips on your's
"Naeggles, I missed you."
"Boy, am I lucky to have a girlFRIEND like you"
"And I'm LUCKY to have a boyfriend like you"
"I will never forget you Naeggles"
