Matapos ang last subject bago magdismissal, some random girl confessed to me. "Trystan, I..like you so much. P-please go out with me."

Okay, this is weird. It's not even Valentines Day! And I'm not a celebrity that deserves everyone's attention, but they're looking at us anyway.

"I know it took your time and courage to-"

Whoa!

Whatever I was trying to say, it was cut off when I was dragged away by another girl strangely wearing our school PE pants under her skirt. "I'll borrow him for a bit!" she excused me from the room.

"Hey!" I tried to free myself but she just continued until we are in the corridors.

"We need to talk," she said.

When I look at her face.. "Rosem??"

Other students started whispering to each other. Uh-oh! This is bad! So I grabbed her arm and pulled her to somewhere private.

Rosem took a stick from a pack in her pocket and lit it up with a silver squared lighter. Nakabukas pa ang butones ng long white sleeves niya kaya lantad ang purple sando niya. Ganito ba talaga siya sa school? Oh, well. Sabi niya nga diba, iba ang personality niya. But I never knew she went this far.

Nasa likod kami ng engineering building ngayon.

"You have to quit smoking if you really want to talk to me in the school premises," I said while attempting to steal the stick away from her, but she dodged.

"Afraid of being caught? No one can see us here," she smoothly answered.

"But-" My mistake, for opening my mouth.

"Here, take that." She shove a stick on my mouth, and lit it. I did notice the slight shaking of her hands.

To entranced, she was able to lit it, but I took it out and dropped it to the ground. Then I stepped on it a few times to kill the embers.

She gave me an eyeful.

"What? I don't smoke," I explained.

She looked away. "Kung ayaw mong pumunta bukas, then don't. That's fine with me," she brusquely stated before releasing some of the polluted nicotine gas into the air. She's a good smoker!

"I'm going." That was my short reply.

Then she coughed and gave me a glare, as if demanding a reason out of me. Okay, maybe she isn't a good smoker.

"Okay lang naman sana sa akin na hindi pumunta. Yet you took this hassle of talking to me. Seems to me that you were not successful in talking to them." I smirked.

Then I saw her blush, my favorite reaction from her so far. "I'm not doing this because I want you to come! I alone can tell the truth to my parents just as fine!" she bursted.

"Yet here you are smoking out of tension," I judged her manner.

"Well I..," she trailed, "..usually do. At hindi mo kailangang umarte as if gulat ka sa ipinapakita ko. Alam kong marami ka ng alam tungkol sa akin dahil kay Cyfer, tama ba?" she spat.

"Kung alam mo talaga, hindi ka na magtatanong," I countered.

"Hmm, I like that attitude of yours. I wonder how Dad would react."

"Thanks?" sabi ko kahit hindi ko tiyak kung compliment nga ba iyon.

"Iyan ba ang sikreto mo kaya maraming nagkakandarapa saiyo?"

"Nagkakandarapa is a strong word." To be honest, I don't want those girls to be after me and I don't do anything for that to happen. They just do that. "Bakit? Ganoon din bang epekto saiyo?"

Her rolled her eyes, removed the cigarette from her mouth and instantly laughed along.

I laughed too.

"Kung hindi ka rin lang conceited no? I'm sorry," she said, tears dripping out after the big laugh.

Then I shifted to serious, stern look. "Listen carefully. I don't know what you are up to, but I'll be a man in front of your parents."

"Then do what pleases you, but be reminded that this is not what I intended."
