It took me awhile
But you were patient
The feeling in my chest
Always tightens
Every time you smile
Let me get use to it
That laugh
And shivers down my back
Those sweet sounds
Makes my heart race
Am I sick?
My cheeks are flushed
Constantly in warmth
In your arms
Never letting go
Your words across my face
Smooth and soft
Whispering in my ear
Telling me that I'm beautiful
Allow me to believe
Deep down
There is some doubt
As it slowly fades
Feelings of calm and happiness
Only you can give
With love in your eyes
Staring after me
My heart is beating fast
Numbing my fingers
Between your hair
Been given the time
You waited for me
Having days turn to years
Promises stayed true
Then I finally understand
This is all
Because of you
