Annabella is a very adventurous and spontaneous young lady. Now the age of three. She has long, wavy blonde hair just like I did. Her eyes are grey like Haymitch's. She is so much like Haymitch, she has his wit, personality, sense of humor, and his huge heart. She's absolutely perfect. Katniss and Annabella have play dates often but still don't know that they are twins.

"Mommy, why do me and Nissy have the same birthday?" Nissy being Katniss. I suppose I could tell her.

"Well, when mommy had you in the hospital, she had another baby too."

"Who?"

"Katniss..... Katniss is mommy's baby too." I say as tears slip down my face in the memories of my past

Annabella gives me a sweet hug with her small arms.

"Its okay mommy, don't cry. I wont tell Nissy if you don't want me to."

"Will you do me a favor and not tell Nissy, let her mommy tell her..."

"But you are Nissy's mommy." I give a small chuckle and smile.

"Her new mommy sweetheart."

I get Annabella ready for her 4th birthday. My little girl has grown up so fast that it scares me. I curl her delicate, blonde hair. I pin part of it up with a beautiful pink flower clip I made. She wears a bright pink dress that has purple and green flowers all over it and a sash with a bow. She wears purple ballet flats and green leggings.

"Thanks for helping me mom!" she gives me a smile.

"Your welcome Anna."

"Mom. I've told you a million times! Please don't call me Anna!"

"Sorry honey, you liked it last year... I guess I just can't bare to see you grow up so fast." I say as I move her hair from her face.

We arrive at the party and all of Annabella's friends show up. I sit and chit chat with the other parents while the kids run around and play. Katniss soon shows up with her mom, she runs up to me and gives me the biggest hug.

"Happy birthday, sweetheart!"

"Thanks mom!" I look at her with disbelief.

"My new mom told me today." I feel a smile make its way onto my face as I hug her again.

"Go have fun." she runs off to play with the others.

7 years ago Haymitch and I got married.

4 1/2 years ago I gave birth to twin girls.

12 years ago I met Haymitch.

My life was well spent and want it to continue that way. This weekend we decided to stay in my house in the Capitol.

I am greeted by my darling husband with a smile, kiss, and breakfast.

"Good morning!"

"Good morning sweethearts." Haymitch says giving my darling Annabella a kiss on the top of her head. We all take a seat for breakfast when there's a knock at the door.

"I'll get it." I say already almost at the door.

I open the door to find 2 peacekeepers.

"President Snow would like to have a word with all of you. Be ready in 5 minutes. We will wait here."

I turn to Haymitch and Annabella and I tell them to dress formally because we will be in President Snow's mansion. I get ready and then go to help Annabella, she is already waiting for me on her bed, all ready to go. We leave the house and follow the peacekeepers into a large, very armored car. We arrive at Snow's mansion and are rushed inside.

"Good morning Abernathy's." Snow says appearing out of no where. We all stand silently in his presents. "May I have a word with your darling child?" he whispers in my ear. I can smell the rose pinned on his jacket, it reeks of blood.

"Yes you may." I say trying not to vomit from the smell.

He takes Annabella's hand and leads her into another room. Haymitch and I have a seat worried about what he might be saying or doing to our daughter. She comes back after a few minutes.

"What did he say sweetheart?" I ask worried.

"He just asked me a few questions about you and daddy. And he asked me about Katniss."

"When we get home we can talk about it." Haymitch says with a reassuring kiss to my cheek.

"May I have a word with you Mr. Abernathy?" Snow asks. Haymitch stands and leaves the room with Snow.

Haymitch comes back after maybe 20 minutes and we leave. Why doesn't he want to talk to me? Is it me that's the reason we had to come here? I don't understand. We get back in the armored car and are taken home.

"What did he say to you Haymitch?"

"He said that you and I are very rebellious, that we shouldn't have ever been together, gotten married, or had Annabella. He said we either leave the Capitol forever, you would have to quit escorting and I would have to quit mentoring. Or that we break up."

"Haymitch. No, I love you too much for you to leave now!"

"Sweetheart I'm sorry, we can't."

"Yes we can. We can say we broke up but visit each other all the time. Annabella can stay with me then she can come with me to visit you. And you can come visit us too, if you'd like to." I stand there gazing into Haymitch's eyes and I can't help but think about how that is exactly how we fell in love.

"I need to go pack my things." Haymitch says as he leaves the room.

Haymitch packs everything he owns in my household. We all walk to the train station and board the train leaving to district 12. We get to Haymitch's house and I pack all my belongings and Annabella packs hers as well. We stay only for a short amount of time. Haymitch walks Annabella and myself to the station where the last train of the day is waiting.

Goodbyes are always hardest for me ever since I had to say goodbye to my little girl Katniss.

"Goodbye sweetheart." Haymitch says as he holds me tightly. He kisses my softly on my lips.

"Goodbye Haymitch." Many tears begin to fall down my face.

"Hey now, don't cry. I'll see you tomorrow." I nod because I can't find words.

"Bye daddy." Annabella says as she also starts to cry. She's always been daddy's little girl, so this is very difficult for her.

"Annabella, don't you cry either." he says kneeling down and kissing the top of her head.

"Okay daddy." she says managing a smile. Something I could never do in sadness. She's much stronger than I am, I admire that.

Annabella and I board the train and wave goodbye as it pulls away. We sit down, she nuzzles her head under my chin.
