Shock runs through me and I can't seem to find words. How can Anna be alive? I held her as she died. It can't be true...

"Effie, say something." Haymitch says grabbing my shoulders.

I stand there, still speechless. Thoughts and questions race through my head and they have no answer or meaning.

"Effie!" He shakes my shoulders. I take in a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"How?" I ask quietly.

"I don't know..." He says shaking his head.

"We have to find her Haymitch." I look at the back of the note.

"Obviously. Where do we start looking?"

"She's at Livia's house." I say taking the note from Haymitch's hand.

"How do you know?" He asks looking at me oddly. I show him the back of the note.

"Oh.... We should go."

I nod and walk out of her room. I don't bother with my bags or anything. I walk out the front door and walk quickly towards my sister's house.

5 short blocks away there's a little blue house which Livia has lived in for almost 30 years. I quickly walk up to the door and knock a few times.

A tall blond man answers. "Hello?"

"Does Annabella Abernathy live here?" I ask in a panicky tone.

"Well Abernathy is her maiden name, but yes. And who are you?" He asks stepping outside.

"We're her parents." Haymitch says calmly.

"Okay, I'll go get her." The man goes back inside and closes the door behind him.

Haymitch and I wait impatiently at the door. The door swings open, Anna looks almost exactly the same as she did the last time I saw her. She's taller, but not by much, her hair is still naturally wavy and falls down to her waist. I walk up to her and wrap my arms tightly around her.

"Anna, we thought we lost you...." I say with a shakiness in my voice.

She hugs me back but doesn't respond. We stand holding each other until Haymitch speaks up.

"Where the hell have you been?!" He asks tearing Anna from my arms.

"I've been here with Aunt Livia and Brock." Anna says crossing her arms.

Haymitch glares at Anna. "And why exactly did you fake your death?"

"To get away from you...."

"Excuse me?" Haymitch asks getting closer to her.

"What? You know I've never liked you. You never let me do anything fun."

"For good reasons! You could've actually died! You could've been hoeing your way around Panem if we didn't keep you in our sight!" Haymitch says raising his voice.

"Stop." I place my hands on Haymitch's chest and push him back.

"Fine. But who the hell is that?" Haymitch points at the tall man still standing by the door.

"Brock." Anna smiles cheekily at him and waves.

I roll my eyes. "Nevermind that. How have you been?"

She looks at me. "I've been fine. But I see you've gotten fat. Pop out a few more kids while I was gone?" She looks at Haymitch and laughs. "She did, didn't she? You gain weight too when she's pregnant."

I readjust my hands over my stomach. I glance at Haymitch, he's trying to act calm from what I can tell.

"What are their names? I'd love to know." She asks somewhat sarcastically.

"Vienna and Victoria are the twins." I say twirling my fingers.

"And?" Anna raises an eyebrow. "Come on, there's bound to be more."

"There's also Maverick, Satine, and Camilla." Haymitch says coming closer to me.

"Five? You honestly had five kids while I was gone. Looks like you were the one hoeing your way around Panem." She grins. I feel my blood begin to boil.

"Too far Anna! Apologize to your mother right now!" Haymitch gets in her face.

Brock steps between them and pushes Haymitch, he stumbles backwards. I grab Haymitch's hand and steady him.

"Have fun rotting in hell!" I scream as I storm off still holding Haymitch's hand.

"Meet you there!" She yells.

I don't bother looking back. I let go of Haymitch's hand when we reach my house. I go inside and sink onto the couch.

"Don't cry Eff." Haymitch says sitting next to me.

I stand up. "I'm not going to cry! I'm furious! Who the hell does she think she is?! I did not raise my daughter that way!"

I shake my head and pace the floor. Just trying to clear my head before I lash out.

"Eff, we weren't exactly the best of parents." Haymitch says kicking his feet up onto the couch.

"We kept her safe! We kept her sober! We kept her in school! We kept her off drugs and morphling! What's bad about that?!"

"I'm not saying that our parenting was bad...but we didn't set the bes-"

I cut him off. "I don't want to hear it."

"...Okay..." He says softly.

"Sorry." I say before turning and going upstairs. Haymitch follows behind me.

I go upstairs and unpack a plain black dress. I look at it for a moment then down at the dress in wearing.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing." I sigh slightly.

I slip off the dress I'm wearing and slip on the black dress. I go to my bathroom and wash off all my makeup and take off my wig. I put on a pair of plain heels.

"Okay..." He says watching me come back into the room.

My phone starts ringing. I try to find it in my purse but it stops ringing before I can find it. "Where the hell did I put my stupid phone?!"

"It's in your dress." Haymitch says picking up the dress I was wearing a few minutes ago. He searches through the pockets and pulls out my phone. He tosses it to me.

"Thank you." I smile gratefully. I call the number back, it's Octavia.

A man answers, Thread I'm assuming. "Hello? Effie?" He sounds panicked.

"Yes? What's wrong?" I ask quickly.

"Octavia. She's having the baby! I don't know what to do."

(Anna's so mean! I made her that way, but whatever, still mean! Sorry this took a while to post! Comment! Vote! And as always, keep on reading!)
