"Effie." She says with a small smile.

"Hello, Katniss." I stand and kiss her cheek. "Well it looks like we've got another big, big, big day ahead of us. So why dont you start your prep and I'll pop over and check on the arrangements."

"Okay." She says nodding. I leave the room quietly.

I stand out in the hallway. Someone hugs me from behind, Haymitch I assume.

"How did it go sweetheart?"

"Not well....you're right, she doesn't remember." I stare at the nothingness in front of me.

"She's been through a lot....she might not remember, but we do." Haymitch says laying his head on my shoulder.

"Maybe its better to just start new and try to help her remember."

"Maybe its just best to let her forget...." He says quietly.

I turn to Haymitch with my eyes filled with tears. I shake my head and the tears come pouring down my cheeks. He hugs me tightly, laying his head on my shoulder, sobbing quietly.

"We'll figure it out later...." He says quietly.

"What if she never remembers?" I ask still crying.

Haymitch's hands cup my face. "Then there's nothing we can do...." He kisses me softly. "Okay?"

"Okay..." I kiss him and smile slightly.

Haymitch takes my hand and we find our way into Snow's rose garden. There are roses of many colors, they're all so amazing.

"I knew you two would find your way here..." A familiar voice says from a distance.

I turn around, Snow sits on a marble bench trimming the leaves off of a white rose. He coughs into a handkerchief, which is stained red with his blood. He shows no emotion even though he's to be executed within the hour. He stands and hands me the rose. I feel thorns pierce my skin.

"Thank you." I say only to be polite. I smell the rose and the stench is overpowering, its no ordinary rose, but its not deadly.

"My new creation." Snow says to my reaction of the smell.

Haymitch looks at the rose oddly and takes my hand again. He pulls me back into the mansion.

He smacks the rose out of my hand. "What was that for?" I ask as the rose hits the ground.

"Look what it did to your hand." He says looking down at my left hand.

I lift my hand closer to my face. The spots where the thorns had entered my skin have turned the veins nearby black, soon my whole hand is turning black. I roll up my sleeve to see it's spreading up my arm.

Haymitch grasps my forearm to stop the circulation. "What the hell is happening?!" I ask losing feeling in my arm.

"Calm down and lets go find the hospital in this place." Haymitch says giving a small nod.

We walk through the mansion while Haymitch still grasps my arm tightly. We finally find the hospital and go in. There are a few nurses and a doctor present.

"Can you help her? We dont know what's happening."

The doctor comes close and examines my hand and arm. "Well you have something in your bloodstream. But you did the right thing to stop the circulation. We can get that out in time to watch the execution."

The doctor ties a bandage of some sort just above where Haymitch's hands are.

"You can let go Mr. Abernathy...."
