"Batman's cool." Dean utters defensively.

"Batman's kind of a jerk sometimes." I reply nonchalantly, rolling my eyes. "Like you."

Dean gasps in horror and Sam high-fives me as we stumble into my bedroom laughing. I drop their arms and walk over to my bed. Rumsfeld is curled up right in the middle of my bed, snoring happily. It doesn't take him long to get used to new people.

I look over to Sam and Dean. They're stood in the doorway looking around in wonder. I must admit, my room does look pretty cool. Dad had a day off a couple of years ago so we gave my room a complete makeover and now it looks really cool. It's my personality in a nutshell and I absolutely adore it.

So does Rumsfeld. He almost never leaves my bed. Yeah, go ahead and think it's cute that he sleeps in my bed and wish that you could have a dog like that - but just you wait until he keeps you awake the whole night by snoring right in your ear or kicking you because he's dreaming about a chasing a rabbit.

Anyway...

The wall straight in front of the door is painted with black chalkboard paint and covered in doodles by me, my Dad and various friends. The rest of the walls are white but covered in posters of my favourite things and photos of me and my friends. The ceiling is painted dark blue - almost black - and has a map of the night sky on it with fairy lights.

My room is quite an odd shape, it's pretty long. There are two windows, the first of which is on the long chalkboard wall slightly to the left of the middle and is a small portrait shape. The second window is big and on the left wall that looks out onto an open area to the side of the house.

In front of that window is a old wooden desk that is covered in little presents and souvenirs. I have a pixar-like desk lamp to the right of the desk, a few pots full of pens and pencils to the left and my laptop in the middle.

My closet is to the right of my door and is built into the house. There's an old and tattered American flag hanging above the dark wooden doors. The closet is where I keep all the clothes that I don't kick under my bed and is mainly flannel shirts and black.

There's also a small secret compartment right at the back of the closet where I hide my rifle and a couple of essential lore books. It's covered up by a pin board that contains all of my dreams and aspirations. It's kinda lame and I'm a little embarrassed because some of it contains things like "my dream wedding!!1", "baby names!1!" and other soppy crap like that. I'd rather my friends didn't know that the girl who didn't even cry at 'Marley and Me' thinks about those things.

Yeah, okay, so sue me; I didn't cry at 'Marley and Me'. That's the type of person I am. I've been through too much shit in my life to cry at something that doesn't affect me and isn't real. (this really hurt me when i wrote it because i'm the type of person who gets really affected by fictional things. obviously or i probably wouldn't be writing this fanfic tbh 😅) I hardly cry at anything anymore, besides my mom.
