"Angel why can't I get a job? I'm sixteen." My little sister Alissa, Lissa for short, asks as she ties the straps to her ballet shoes tightly.

"I don't want you stressing baby girl. Just let big brother handle everything." I pull up at a red light.

"I know but I don't want you to be stressed trying to handle everything. I can get a job at a restaurant or something."

"No, Lissa. You just focus on your ballet recital this weekend."

"Fine," She slumps back in her seat, "Are you coming to my recital?"

"Do I ever miss them?" I look over at her with a smirk. She knows I'm always down for her recitals. I was a family person, so I was always there to support my sisters in any and everything they did.

"You have a point- BUT! You did miss one when I was ten." She argues.

"That was when Ma went in labor with Aleace. I drove her to the hospital."

"You didn't have to go. You could've went later."

"Since I was the man of the house, I had to go. It wouldn't be fair for mom to go through labor and delivery without any support." I turn a corner sharply.

"Well she did have Uncle Tray and Uncle Tevin." I freeze when she mentions those names. The two men who have scarred me for life.

"Don't mention their names around me." I sternly say through gritted teeth.

She sighs, "You know you never told me why you hate them so much."

"It's complicated, Lissa." It really isn't.

"Stop it!" I cried, kicking my small legs back and forth as Uncle Tevin penetrated my small, unprepared anus.

"Be quiet." Uncle Tray scolded me.

My vision clouded as tears built up in my eyes, my lower half felt like I was being run over again, and again, and again.

"You say that every time and you never tell me." I pull up at her ballet class.

"Look, we'll talk one day. Just not today, okay?" I lean over and open her door.

"Fine, and you better not be lying to me."

"Oh shut up and give your big brother some love." I kiss her cheek and she pulls away quickly.
