"I'm sorry." I cried. It was all I could say. I didn't know where to even begin.

"Angel, how could you keep something so serious from us?" My mother said as she teared up.

"Ma, I don't wanna talk about it." I admitted.

"Baby look at me." She cupped my cheek, making me look at her, "You and the girls will always be my first priority."

"You weren't supposed to find out like this." I whispered.

"It didn't have to come to this, Angel. You could've talked to us." Imani said.

"It's not as easy as it seems. Believe me, I wanted to tell you guys so bad, I-I just couldn't."

My mother wiped her eyes, "Start at the beginning, baby."

Should I tell her about Tevin and Tray?

I decided against it. That was something that I knew I couldn't tell her, atleast not right now. So I told her about working at Sal's.

"When I was working at Sal's, we were really struggling. I had just spent my check on your chemotherapy and we didn't have anything to eat at home. So I went back to Sal's and I piled food into a to-go plate. One of my coworkers at the time, Chris, came in and he saw me stealing the food. He threatened to tell Sal if I didn't... if I didn't do a sexual favor. So I gave it to him because I needed the job. Then it went from wanting head from time to time to sex." I wiped my nose with a tissue.

It was closing time at Sal's. I wiped down the last few dishes that were left in the sink. As I was washing the dishes, someone came up behind me, pressing themselves against me. I sighed as I already knew who it was.

"What do you want?" I cut the sink off.

"You know what I want." He leaned down and pressed his lips against my ear.

I turned around to face him, a pleading look on my face.

"Please don't make me do this." My lip quivered as I felt myself tearing up. "Everyone isn't gone yet."

He undid the strings on my apron, causing it to fall on the floor.

"We're going to the storage closet." He grabbed my hand and led me to the storage closet.

When we got in, he closed the door behind him. I dropped to my knees but he stood me back up. He turned me around and pressed me against one of the shelves.

"I want something else tonight." He reached around for my belt buckle.

I jerked away from him, "You said head, not sex."
