2. Surprise?

~(Y/N)'s POV~

You yelped as someone behind you spoke. You turned around quickly to see the person who startled you. He chuckled and came out of the shadows, revealing brown hair, green eyes, a tan long-sleeved shirt, jeans, and black shoes. He also wore a scarf around his mouth. "Sorry for scaring you. I'm Malachi." He said and held a hand out to you. You gave him a small smile in return and shook his hand. "It's fine. Oh, I'm (Y/N)." You say. He nods.

"I'll call for my brother. Wait on the couch." Malachi told you and went upstairs. You sit down and Dante stands behind you. "You must be really jumpy after the Tu'la attack, huh?" He asks. You nod slightly. "Well, I hope to have you less jumpy by the time you leave this place." He said with a chuckle. You tipped your head to the side in confusion. "What do you mean?" You asked.

"Oh, well, I figured you might need some help with fighting. I mean, you v ant go anywhere without having to." Dante explained. You nodded in understanding. Then you heard two sets of footsteps coming down the stairs. You looked back and to the stairs to see Malachi, from before, and a guy with blonde hair, blue eyes, a blue shirt, jeans, and some black shoes. He looked nothing at all similar to Malachi, but you could ask about that later.

"I heard that you have experience in a battle with Tu'la. I'm Levin, by the way. I'm the lord of this village." He said. You nodded as he and Malachi sat down. You tell him your name and you explain what happened to New Meteli. Levin and Malachi seemed surprised, and Levin seemed even more worried. "Mom will be devastated.." he muttered under his breath. He sighed and looked back up. "Thank you for this information. I'll send someone to find Aphmau and tell her the news." He told you, and you nodded once again.

There's no way this could get any worse.
