13. Home <3

~Y/n's POV~

Everyone stopped fighting to see who screamed. You saw Garroth standing on a rock with Lady Ro'Meave. Aphmau looked up curiously at Garroth as he looked at the two of you. He looked down at the group of people, as it was huge. All the guards who had come with Phoenix Drop overpowered the Tu'la guards, incredibly. You realise why you haven't seen Garroth since you arrived. He snuck off to free his mother. You weren't angry, no, you just feel he should've gone when he was told to.

Lady Ro'Meave stated that you shouldn't be fighting to free her land, and should be doing it peacefully. The Tu'la guards yowled in protest, yet Lady Ro'Meave yelled over them to get her point across. "We should be able to solve conflicts in peace rather than to fight to claim freedom or anarchy." She said. The mixed guards of the Phoenix Alliance nodded, including you. The Tu'la guards yelled in an outburst once again.

All conflicts stopped as Aphmau yelped beside you and fell to her knees. You panicked and tried asking her if she was okay. She kept shaking her head and you attempted to help her up, yet she kept getting hurt every time you tried. You called for help and Garroth rushed over, getting her up and carrying her bridal style. "We need to get to the Phoenix Island. Now." You said. Garroth nodded. You grabbed everyone from Phoenix Drop and left, getting on your horses. You rushed back to Phoenix Drop with everyone and you, Garroth, Lucinda, Laurence, and Vylad hopped in the portal. You told Lucinda to go and get Lord Cadenza as you helped Garroth to Aphmau's house and laid her down on a bed.

"Go get Zoey and Katelyn. I'll stay by her side until all the ladies get here. Once everyone's here, make sure NO ONE listens in or comes in." You order Garroth. He nods and sprints off and you start moving around her house. You start making some soup for her as Cadenza bursts in. "What's going on?!" She asks. You shake you head and shrug. "I'm not sure anybody but Zoey may know." You reply. You feel awkward, as Cadenza was your old lord. Zoey and Katelyn arrive and you close the door behind them.

Just as you close the door, Aphmau starts to wake. She groans and sits up. She giggles. "I guess everyone was invited to this party, huh?" She says. You chuckle and Katelyn sighs. "Great, she's delirious. I told you we should worry, Zoey!" She says. "Relax, it was a joke, Katelyn." You laugh. She huffs. Zoey chuckles and then asks Aphmau a few questions. Aphmau answers with hesitation and uncertainty in her voice. Zoey sighs and asks one very serious question that nobody but you, Zoey, and Aphmau understand. "Aphmau, how ling have you known?" She asks. Your eyes widen and your mouth drops open.

"Oh. My. Irene. You're not serious, are you Zoey?" You ask her. She stares at you sternly and asks Aphmau the question again. Katelyn and Cadenza are confused. Aphmau sighs. "I'm pregnant..." She says. Katelyn freaks out and Cadenza shouts in happiness. Zoey, Cadenza, and Katelyn probe her to tell her who the father is. Fortunately, you've known who he was. And you weren't happy. At all. (Sorry Aarmau shippers XD)

Honestly, you don't like the fact that Aaron had even touched her in that way. You were uncomfortable with someone, who- in fact- was dead, as Aphmau's child's father. Especially if he was so secretive. But, none the less, you were happy for Aphmau. As you were caught in thought, Aphmau had already told the others it was Aaron. Aphmau smiles at you and you smirk back. Seeing the glint in her eyes, you knew what she was going to ask. "Fine, fine, I'll do it..." You sigh.

You start to sing a soft, gentle lullaby.

Come my child, stay with me...
I'll protect you and your dreams.
Rest, my child, 'neath the tree.
Like its branches, reach for me.

So, let me keep you safe and warm, here in my arms.
Think of the life that we could live,
The joy it would give.
Even if we're worlds apart, stay in my heart.

As you finish, Aphmau is crying tears of happiness, Katelyn is asleep, Cadenza is fangirling and crying, and Zoey is smiling. You hug Aphmau and tell her to take things easy, and you take your leave.
