8. This Is...

~Zane's POV~

This is awkward. I'm asking her in front of somebody I don't even know, and an experienced lord. Why here?! Why did it have to be the deadline today..? I wasn't ready... But nonetheless, I had to ask her. "Raven, I... I love you. I didn't want to force anybody else into this, and I get it if you don't want to... But, to save any more words, will you... Will you marry me?" I asked her awkwardly.

She looked up at my madly red face with something equivalent. Yet she was smiling with tears in her eyes, and her golden eyes were full of happiness. I took a velvet box out of my pocket and opened it to reveal a ring. "Zane... I have no words but 'yes'..." I smiled and hugged her, and she hugged back.

This is officially the best day of my life.

~Y/n's POV~

So, today (a few months later btw. Not much has happened.) is the day of Zane's and Raven's wedding. All of the ladies' maids invited were dressed in gold dresses, in honor of Raven's favorite color. All of the dresses were matching, besides the maid of honor, who was Lord Aurelie of course.

Her dress was a dark grey blue, close to a black color. It was also a knee length dress, and she wore grey boots with wedges, which was as close as Raven could get with heels. Her hair was in a near braid, which was different from her normal messy braid, that went down her back. There was also a white flower stuck in each maid's hair.

Your dress, including the others, was an ankle length, thin velvet dress. Well, the skirt was, at least. The top was a silk-like material that had many designs that only the light could show. A bow was tied in the back of each dress and each maid's hair was put into a bun. They also wore a flower crown with white and yellow flowers, which Raven adored. You didn't approve much of wearing a dress, but you did it for her.

Now was the time to walk down the aisle and take positions. Zane's side was Garroth, Vylad, Laurence, Dante, and two others you didn't know. Laurence flashed you a smile, and you smiled back shyly. On your side, there was lord Aurelie, Aphmau, three others you don't know, and yourself. Now, Raven was walking down the aisle in her astonishing dress.

Raven wore an ankle length, sort-of poofy golden dress. The top was the same silk like material as the maid's, and the skirt was a whitish yellow cotton material. A white bow was tied in the back and her hair was done as it would be normally, in a ponytail with her natural curly hair. There was nothing you and the others could do with it, as it was too curly to mess with.

As the vows were said, you could see Aphmau was crying tears of happiness. You gave her a smile and she smiled back. This was a happy day.

That was until Zane and Raven were officially married, at least. After the marriage, was when things went downhill...
