7. Things Get Weird...

~Aphmau's POV~ (because there's a turn of events.)

Watching silently as she sat down, I wondered what was going on. Why did she want Zane and I here? I'm not officially a lord and Zane is just one of the sons from O'Khasis. Aurelie say down and told her guard's to wait outside. They nodded and closed the door behind them.

"Alright, what's going on here?" I asked. Zane nodded I'm agreement. "I have come with news of Tu'la. They're moving in close to Phoenix Drop and Winter Lake. We need to keep watch closer to our gates so they don't surprise us." Aurelie stated. Aphmau was shocked, and so was Raven.

"We need to be allies. If we combine our forces, Tu'la may not mess with us. Bird's Flame is huge in numbers of soldiers. Bigger than O'Khasis, even. If our soldiers were to ally together, then maybe we might be able to finish off Tu'la." Raven admitted. We all nodded and agreed.

"I'll have to talk to my son. He's lord of Phoenix Drop, but I doubt he'll say no." I said. Zane looked uncomfortable and seemed he had something to say. "Zane?" I asked. He looked up. "Huh?" He said. "You look look like you have something on your mind." Aurelie said. He seemed extra nervous now. "My father... Well... He's forcing me to marry one of the lords in Ru'an." He said quietly. All of us were surprised.

I stepped up. "Zane, I'd be more than willing to marry you to make your father satisfied," I said. Zane shook his head. "No, Aphmau. I'd much rather you be with the man you love- considerably Garroth- rather than marrying somebody you don't love. However, I have somebody I do love. In fact, I'd much rather marry her than force you guys into anything.." He said in reply.

Surprised, I stayed silent along with Aurelie. Raven was strangely looking the other way, as if she was aware of what was going on. Zane was sweating now, and looking at Raven from a side glance. "Raven, I...."
