"I have received no response from your previous pack, Plamonhout, and I'm starting to get worried." I said to Alerick in the privacy of our room the next afternoon.

We shared different views of his brother and I didn't want to start a fight in front of the people in the castle.

"I am aware of the problem now. I have tried Alpha Sancus' personal number and no response from his part either." He responded.

"Do you think Dion..."

"When will we dicuss your dream?" He said changing the subject completely.

"I already told you everything Alerick."

"My love, there has to be something more. How did you feel? A smell or sound? Something."

"Well, I didn't say anything of it before because it didn't seem important until you said sound. When I thought a step, there was a creaking sound and an echo after wards."

Alerick stood still thinking with a straight look until his face fell flat.
"Erica, we have to go."

"What? Go where? Alerick, please tell me."

He didn't reply right away. He grabbed a suitcase from his closet, took out his phone and called his guards.

"Please saddle up a carriage for my Queen and I. I'm heading home." He spoke into the phone.

"Home? Why?"

Alerick walked over to me and placed a small kiss on me before placing his hands on my shoulders.

"Plamonhout means south mountains."

"I know." I said. "One of the most beautiful territories."

"When I was a child," He continued. "I used to climb the mountains and scream from it creating an echo."

"Like my dream?"

"And at the base of the mountain, is a small creek."

"Just like the sound in my dream." I repeated. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you this earlier. I didn't think it was important."

He let his hands slide down my arm.
"I cannot blame you Erica. We just have to thank the lady in your dream. I have a horrible feeling we cannot help what we are going to witness." He held on to my hand and stared into my eyes.

"Do you think..?" I tried to get the words out but couldn't.

He kissed my forehead softly before heading to finish packing up his suitcase. I decided that I should probably do the same and we got ready to leave in silence.

Alerick
The carriage rattled on the path way. I was too worried to run in my wolf form.

Plamonhout Pack was my home; my family. If something happened to them, I don't know what I would do. I would lose my mind. I would destroy everything in my path to avenge my family.

I shaked those thoughts out my head. My brother was strong but he didn't have the heart of murderer. Especially to the people who kept his family safe.

I sighed softly and leaned my head back on the seat to be face to face with an angel.

She was staring at me. If she wasn't so beautiful, I would have found it creepy.

She was quieter than usual. I feel like she wanted to be inside my head, to hear my every thoughts running through my mind.

"Erica?"

"Yes?"

"Why did you believe the mind link, a gift from the Moon Goddess herself, was a myth?"

She sat up in her seat before she answered. "I don't know. I guess because the whole idea sounded ridiculous, no offense to the Moon Goddess. There was always talk about it and it's possibilities but no proof." I nodded my head to her logical answer. "Why you asked?"

"I wanted to know what runs through my Queen's mind."

"That's not creepy at all." She joked. I smiled at her attempt to clear my mind.

"Place your hands on mine, milady." I opened my palms in front of her and she slowly laid her hands on them.

"What now?" She asked.

In my mind I asked "Can you hear me?" From her terrified reaction, I assumed she heard me in her mind.

"How did you do that?"

"I allowed you into my mind. To allow me into yours, just think the words 'I accept'."

Soon I was able to hear her every thought. Most of them were negative towards my brother but instead of focusing on those, I searched for the ones that spoke volumes on me. They were mostly stating her high respect for me, how worried she was for my pack and the other thoughts I would keep in my mind for another time. From across me, her cheeks tinted darkly.

"How do I turn it off? Or on? If I need to."

"Just imagine yourself pushing me out of your mind and to allow me again, just think of me and say 'I accept'."

She snapped her eyelids shut and I thought she was going to test closing the mind link but due to her heavy breathing, I came to the conclusion that she fell asleep.

Soon we reached pack grounds and I exited the carriage quickly, leaving Erica inside to sleep.

As soon as my feet touched the ground, I heard one of my guards say softly "I'm so sorry Alpha."

I walked in front of the carriage to see what needed to be apologized for.

In the middle of the Pack houses, was a pile of bodies. Dead or alive, that I wasn't sure of yet.

But it didn't matter, that was my family. For them to be treated any way other than royalty, there was a price to paid for such foolishness.
A rage had built inside quickly and it kept raising every step I took towards my family.

I would destroy every single wolf that decide it was a smart decision to mess with the Plamonhout Pack.

From the corner of my eye, I spotted a rogue trying to escape quietly. That was all the proof I needed that my own brother was a cold hearted bastard.

I couldn't be calm anymore. I was the Alpha King!

This rogue would be the first of many to feel my wrath.

What? I'm back? Two updates? Yea I know. But Alerick will finally admit to...his issues in the next chapter because come on, no is perfect. Not even the Alpha King.
