Alerick-
The overwhelming scent hit me like a pestering fly and I fanned, trying to get it away from my nose.
A strong scent.
It was too strong. My only other option was to ignore it even though it was intoxicating but in a good way.
"Good afternoon Alpha King. I am Alpha Baker, alpha of the Gulara pack. Welcome to our home." the Alpha spoke up. I already liked him for not calling me "my Lord".
I smiled and nodded, guessing it was my turn to speak.
"As you all may know, I am the Alpha King but instead of calling me that or 'my Lord' , I would prefer for you to address me as Alpha Rogers or just Alerick. Now that we have passed through the pleasantries, time to get down to business."
A few members smiled and I was sure it's because of my casual attitude.
I looked around the crowd and stopped at the most beautiful girl I have ever seen standing behind Alpha Baker. Light brown hair, big brown eyes, full lips, long legs...
Just the sight of her had my mouth watering. She was staring at me in disbelief and awe. I wanted her to smile with me but I was resisting smiling myself.
I realized I was looking at her longer than I needed to when that amazing scent filled my nose again.
I cleared my throat and started again. "There has been a threat around the last territory , the Artemus pack. We have reasons to believe that maybe this pack could be the next target."
A collective gasp came from the entire pack And they all began to talk amongst themselves quietly.
"My guards and I are here to make sure this does not happen. As King, I don't usually take these matters in my own hands but after multiple attacks, one of an Alpha, I think it would be wise to try and keep this pack safe."
The pack clapped and I only smiled faintly because the scent was beginning to bother me again.
"Thank you for your time. You all will be safe; that is a promise."
They all began to clap again and I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Let me lead to your room." Alpha Baker said standing across from me.
I started to follow him and felt the need to say thank you. "Thank you Alpha Baker for allowing me to stay in your pack house on short notice. If you don't mind me asking, how many wolves are apart of this pack?"
"I don't mind at all, Alpha Rogers. We only have 200 wolves here so we don't have that many pack houses and you will be staying in the guest house right next to my family's and I home."
"Your family? Who is apart of that?" I asked curious.
"My wife and my two kids; one son and one daughter. My son will be the future Alpha of this pack."
"Well I would love to meet your-"
I was cut off by two huge wolves running ahead of me. One was chestnut brown and the other, my wolf's color; midnight black.
I stared in awe at the wolf size and color and the amazing smell filled my nose again bringing a smile to my face.
It seemed like the two of them were having a race of some sort. The black wolf was obviously winning.
Both wolves ran behind a tree. They walked out from behind the tree with clothes on their body that was probably waiting for them there. Sadly, one of the downsides of shifting was not shifting back fully clothed. When we shifted, our clothes shredded.
It seemed the chest nut wolf shifted into the boy and the black wolf shifted and changed into the beautiful girl wearing a long t-shirt.
A strong scent.
I watched her uncovered long legs walk towards me with one thought running through my mind.
