Paper Heart (a poem)

On the kiss of spring and touch of summer,

An angel awaits to lit up her light from the inner,

Knowing not the promise of the unpredictable future,

She opened her eyes and saw life as a treasure.

Like stars, her eyes sparkle through the night,

On the world full of wrongs, the baby's smile seem so right,

"She's our princess, now, tomorrow 'til the end", said her dad,

Her mom nodded, "Yes! The best gift that we wanted so bad".

Daylights and sunsets flies so fast,

From a baby emerged a lady at last!

With simple elegance, she can catch your sight,

And the song from her lips can satisfy your delight.

The lass is a rose but locked in a bar,

Stolen gazes were the keys to see her beauty from afar,

Not until a brave lad came, sang and played his string,

"You, my dear, is the most wonderful being".

All at once, everything's different,

She held her chest and felt a high speed current,

"This can't be love, but it is, at first sight", she realized at a sudden,

"Yet, it'll remain forever a dream for it's forbidden".

Yes, she may have all the gifts from above,

But her soul shouldn't be deceived of a mortal's love,

For she endures within a fragile heart,

Like paper, if mishandled can be easily torn apart.
