Incoming Danger

It has been a few days after seeing those clouds, it looked more darker than usual. We saw dead bodies of animals like cats and birds, sometimes their shadowy counterparts would lurk near them and occasionally lash out at us. It probably has to do with the clouds. I'm not sure what to do about it,  the "Head Reaper"  will find out what to do soon hopefully. I lied on my bed, reading a book called Two Plant Kingdoms. I know it doesn't really sound so interesting, but it actually is, my favorite character was the prince. The room was quiet and cold. I didn't mind it at all, but it was boring.

I decided to go outside, despite it being kinda dangerous. I brought an umbrella to protect myself from any danger. I walked along the side walk, kicking small pebbles and walking past dead cats. The streets seemed drained of life and color. Ben and Chesser didn't come out today, I can understand why though. I continued, but without warning a shadow cat jumped out at me. I smacked it away with my umbrella, it then came back and scratched my arm, pitch-black blood pouring out. I dropped my umbrella and put my hand over my arm. It was painful, it burned as the liquid came out of my skin. The creature was just about to jump at me again until a person appeared and kicked it away. They had a scythe with a white and black wing attached to it. They had their hood up. They removed the wing from the scythe and converted it into a throwing knife, and threw it at the corrupted cat, killing it in a flash. They looked at me and held out a hand. "Are you alright?" It was a girl's voice, i think. "Y-yeah... Ow." Blood was seeping through my fingers, still black like ink. "Oh my god, your arm..." She put a hand to it and she healed it. "Thanks...." "Yep, no problem. I'm Night-wing." "I'm Mason." Night-wing like the super hero, right? I picked up my umbrella, but when I looked back up she was gone!

I looked at the ground where all the blood was. Next time I shouldn't go alone.....
