Charlie's POV:

This is unbelievable. How could this be a coincidence? IT HAS TO BE FATE. I mean, Val and Michael met in the record store. Then after that I texted her talking about him.

This has to be a sign...right?

"How are you not even paying attention to this right now?", Michael questioned me looking pretty puzzled.
"Huh?"
"I am sticking a needle with ink into your arm and you are not even paying attention...normally there's some gritting teeth, a bit of squealing or just something in signs of pain."
"I was lost in thought. I could barely hear the buzzing noise", I giggle to the thought of this. I'm supposed to be in pain yet I basically forgot that I'm getting a rose tattooed onto my body.
"You are so weird."
"Hypocrite."
"I mean...you're dating Ashton so you're like...insane."
"Hm...true."
Michael chuckled in response.

I felt a few minutes fly by as I stared at Val without her noticing. She's so pretty. She is honestly one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. But for some reason, she's always been super insecure about how she looked.

I remember her complaining to me about how no guys in our school like her. But the only reason they have never asked her out is because they felt that she would say no. Even the most attractive guys in our school told me that. Some even said they felt they didn't deserve to have such a beautiful girl as their girlfriend, hence the reason why nobody's ever asked her out.

Right now she's leaning against the wall talking to Luke. She looks pretty nervous. There's no facial expression on her face to prove it but I kind of just know. She always fiddles with her ring on her right hand when she's nervous...and she is doing that right now.
I know right, I'm such a great friend.

Michael taps my shoulder and I quickly turn my head to face him. "What?", why does he keep disturbing me? The expression on his face read 'oh my god really'. "Are you fucking serious right now?", he said with a raised voice. "Ok now you're scaring me.", he was really was. "I'm done."
"With what?"
"Your rose tattoo!"
"Oh..."
I looked down and a beautiful black and white rose was sticking out from my skin. I traced my finger over the design (but I couldn't touch it because the cling rap was wrapped around my arm). As I'm mesmerised with what Michael has done, I can feel Val breathing over my shoulder. I didn't even hear her coming over. She gasped, "Oh my god Michael, that's fucking beautiful." He was just staring at her with this dumb found look on his face. I burst out in laughter at the sight of it.

Michael's POV:

Charlie was laughing for some reason. But she's an odd one so that's nothing new. This girl...Valentine was easily the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. It's so hard not to stare at her. She acts so clueless to the fact that she's stealing boys and girls hearts left and right just by walking down the street. Her golden brown eyes seem to shine with this fire and her light brown hair was barely brushing against her shoulders. "Why are you looking at me like that?", her soft red lips moved to shape the words coming from her mouth. "You are too fucking beautiful", I breathed out. Charlie gasped and faced me with this super surprised, but happy look on her face. "What did you just say Michael Gordon Clifford?", she was basically shouting now. Valentine looked really confused. I assume she didn't hear me, thank god. Charlie was squealing like an animal now, Valentine however was just looking at Charlie like she just got possessed by some animal demon. She probably did.

Walking over to the stand, I sterilize the needles and prepare the inks to tattoo Charlie's upper arm (the arm opposite to the rose).

Valentine getting a tattoo next ;)

X,
Gabby
