where we meet

Alex's pov.

the alarm clock went off and i quickly turned it stopped it so it wouldnt disturb any of my brothers.  it was time for  work.  first i put on the uniform.  after that was done i ate, brushed my hair and teeth.  "lets go" i told nick and lauren.  we strolled out the house.

when we got to the hunters station we got our guns and went to our cars.  i was the last one to the cra. "hi alex"  sarah smiled.  i smiled back.  

the driver took us far out.  to some building that looked familiar.  it was a motel.  how do i know this place?  

"alex!" sarah called for me.

"what?" i ran to her.  

"this is where we meet, remember?"  she said.  then i could see it.  this was the motel we came to.  when lindsey threatened us.  "oh yeah"  the place hadnt changed much.

"come on"  she took my hand and we looted the place.  we threw all the supplies in the duffel bag.  i was about to go to the next room when sarah stopped me.  

"what?"  i asked her.

"lets take a break"  she picked up two sodas and lead me over to the stairs.  we sat and talked for a while. 

"so how your family?"  sarah asked me.

"they're fine, but a little stressed out.  my dad wishes he could be here to protect us"  i told her.

"not mine"  she sighed.

"what do you mean?" i was confused.

she took a sip of her soda. "my dad always wanted a son, and when he got one he made sure his son was going to have a good, safe life.  my dad thinks girls cant do much"  

"thats terrible"  i said.

"thats the reason lindsey and i got seperated."  tears filled her eyes, " we were trying to get away from some runners.  my dad, mom and brother had gotten into a car.  lindsey and i were running to get to it, runners were close behind.  before we could get in they drove away.  i know it was to protect jackson, but it hurts a lot when your own family abandons you"  

i hugged her, "im so sorry.  why would you go back to them?"  

she wiped away her tears, "i dont know, we didnt know what to do" a smile formed on her lips, "besides i would have meet you if we werent looking for them.  heck, id probably still be out her somewhere"  

as sarah starred off into the clouds i notice for the first time how beautiful she is.  her blonde hair, blue eyes, cute smile were all better than any sunset i have ever seen.  i could see the pain in her eyes though, and i hate seeing her like that.  she deserves more than her father.  

i guess she noticed me looking at her because she said, "why dont you take a picture, itll last longer" and the sweet sound of her laugh.

i pushed her gently and she pushed me back, but harder.  i fell over.  

"lets go!!"  the group leader hollered from the car.  i stood up and reached my hand out for sarah to take, she took it and we went to the car.  

but before we got there i tripped over something.  i sat up and looked at what i tripped over.  it was a body, no two bodies.  they were bruised, bloody, dirty, and more.  it was terrible.  but i was even more terrible when i realised who it was.  ben and max.

my heart ached at this sight.  i knew they woulgnt have lasted against all those runners but nothing can prepare you for this.  

i let a tear rolled down my face.  from sadness, but from happiness too.  it was sad that they had died.  ben and max helped me, lauren, nick and my dad so much.  i would probably been dead at the highschool.  

the happiness was because they did find each other, ben had got to see his son again.

"alex..."  sarah kneeled down and hugged me.  but even sarahs hugs couldnt cheer me up right now.  

the group was waiting for us, but i could leave them like this.  i couldnt bring them back either.  

i grabbed a blanket i found laying around and covered them, like a grave.  they'll lay there together, forever.  

sarah put some flowers on top of them before we left.  im glad she was with me.

and thats the new chapter.  i hope you liked it, i tried real hard to make it longer.  but whatever. also i want people to know i will not turn this into a love story.  im terrible with love stories, its just a crush to make it more interesting.  it will ruin the story if i try.  and lastly i noticed this is longer than the first story and i was planning on making them the same length.  so i MIGHT continue this in a third story after a few more chapters, or just make this way longer than the first.  anyways, thanks for reading!
